Pours an off white tiny bubbled long lived head with attractive lacing over a slightly copper colored (SRM 15) body.......nose is pine, grapefruit, toffee, honey, bread....taste initially sweet malts with toffee then medium pine, grapefruit, hop bitterness arrives and gently lingers.....mouth feel is relatively light, carbonation adds to the experience. This is good beer. The hops are held with a light hand and just meet the malt back bone without beating it up. The sweetness I was expecting from the Terminal Gravity has been nicely hidden, although it is still slightly there. There has been a major blurring of some beer styles, this would also be an English Double IPA (I know this style does not exist, but it is to me an apt descriptor, with hop nose and light bitterness just meeting the malts). stobbe74 (700), Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2009 Malty, but aggressively bitter. A really pleasing beer. Doesn’t drink its weight, so could be dangerous. I’d consider this a barleywine. I gotta say, this was a very pretty beer. Poured nicely with a thin tan head and a cloudy amber body.
Overall this was a nice beer. Cost about $12.00 at the local liquor store, which seems pricey, but considering I’ve spent $8 on a twelve ounce Bud at a baseball game, I think it’s worth the price.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2009 Restrained hops may slightly reign in the huge malt flavors--roasted caramel malt, prune, ripe orange notes, roasted milk chocolate. Comments: Very very big with complex aromas and malt flavors that evolve in the glass. A few sips can go a long way, and gave me a very pleasant, mellow buzz to end my session. This just can’t be compared to a standard beer; better to think of a young, ageable port. The complexity and changing flavors reminded me of the one (and probably only) time that I got to try Sam Adam’s Utopia. It helps to sip and enjoy this slowly over 30 to 60 minutes and all will be right with the world. zach8270 (2079), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is malty and fruity with a little bit of bitter hops underneath. Flavor is rather spicy at the beginning with a creamy and malty middle and a spicy and bitter finish. ericandersnavy (1052), crossroads, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 26, 2009 bottle from midway in denton tx. poured amberish with a nice white head that would not go away. aroma was strong malt upfront, slight orange, and followed by dark fruits like raisin and prune. flavor was much the same with a nice pine hop bitter added to it. body was heavy on the palate with light-medium carbonation. a good solid brew all around but not sure if it is worth the 15 bucks i paid for it.
