Solid porter, but overpriced IMO. Slight chocolate, and this porter is easy to drink. The alcahol is hidden well.

Big beer with massive dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavors hiding the hops in the bitter backbone. Alcohol fairly undetectable in all the malt

Bottle, 355ml. Pours a black, heavy tar with a strong hint of chocolate. More hoppy than your average porter, not so much coffee. Great beer.

Well, this smells like a porter... With chocolate. Coffee has yet to be discovered. Sweet, fresh roasted malts dominate the aroma. Yes, it even almost smells like fresh wort. It’s nearly black color, and cream colored head, offers a smooth, yet almost awkward bitter roasted malt flavor that seems to be a little due to roasted malts, but still very good. Light-bodied, clean, and groovy.

Pours very dark. Has a smooth velvety taste. Lots of malt and chocolate. If you’re a stout or porter drinker this is a must try, won’t be let down.

Draught at Rogue Distillery & Public House, Portland. Notes from March 2010. Heavy chocolate, stout-like aroma. Very smooth mouthfeel. Summit hops give an interesting dimension. Very long chocolately tail. Much much better than the regular Mocha Porter.

Dark brown/black color; Medium to heavy creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, mocha, dark chocolate, & coffee; Flavor of roasted malt, caramel, rich dark chocolate, coffee, and some hops; Finish is slightly bitter; Nicely balanced; Overall, not too complex - but pretty tasty.

Bottle. Deep brown/black opaque liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, pine, fresh coffee, licorice, candy and dark fruit. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with some dry chocolate, licorice and coffee. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.
