3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Decent head which diminishes to a thin, creamy foam with nice lacing. Color is a dark red/amber. Aroma is a sweet malt with a touch of caramel. Body is a little weak but with decent flavor. More malt with a slight hop taste. Finish has a nice hop bitterness and leaves a decent aftertaste. A decent amber ale with a nice hops kick at the end.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft - A reddish copper color with nice head and a terrific malty hoppy aroma. Sweet caramel malty flavor that is very well balanced by the hops. Hops are present, but not overwhelming.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark hazy amber brown with a overall reddish tone with a finger high tannish head of thick froth, top becomes whipped as it settles slowly a favorable hazy skim and thick collar, sparitic lacing in webby sheeting. Smell is a nice mix of caramel dipped biscuits, a bit dry of woody pine comes through underneath. Flavors are a nice meld of the same with more of the woody drying coming through by quite a bit. Caramel is lessened and barely detected as the hops make a home in a hugely drying wood flavor thats actually quite nice. Bitterness in check, not overwhelming in any regards. Slight dulled fruit skin notes pop in nearer the finish. Good light fluffy textured mouthfeel thats medium in body and dry throughout with woodyness. A fine amber I'd have again and again.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Caramel, ginger and citrus aroma. Nice caramel malt taste, with enough west coast hops to excite the palate, some nuts and a nice bitterness in post taste.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Maybe the amber ales I've had before just weren't that good, because this has completely changed my outlook on the style. A nice DARK copper color and a big light tan head, good hops character in the nose and flavor, and a long aftertaste that isn't all malt, as they often are. Really an eye opener, from the always impressive Rogue brewery.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Brown/red. Plenty of underlying malt with a mild hoppy finish. There is a mustiness to this that just won't grow on me.
