4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12oz. bottle in a pint glass. Pours a nice amber color. Very hoppy citrus aroma. Taste is not a hoppy as it smells overall a very good red ale.

36cl, American brew, from Saveur Bière Lille, complex brew, malty/sweet and slightly bitter/fruity, easy to drink, balanced, hazy, good head, good brew, yet expensive!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at the Rogue Distillery & Public House Portland. From notes (March 2010). Hard-nosed citrusy aroma. Very pretty amber-reddish color. A bit foamy. Flavors match the aroma, with some tasty maltiness coming through. Metallic aftertaste. In spite of the omnipresent Pacman yeast notes, I liked this one.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I don’t know why, but I love a red ale. I think it is a colour ideally suited to beer and I would love to see more of them. This beer is red and slightly opaque with a patchy off-white/cream coloured head that left good lace down the glass. The aroma lent toward crispy caramel, apricot, redwood gum and dehydrated guava. So all in all, a good one.
The flavour is of lush berryfruit and spruce gum. A twang of citrussy bitterness, but not the flamboyant, massively hoppy edifice I was expecting. This brewery usually throws out complex, challenging ales. While this has complexity, it doesn’t have the challenge but I think if you set out to defy, mystify and confuse with every batch, you run the risk of losing the point of beer, which is to enjoy. This beer is a return to the sessionable and I like it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a ruby amber with a small to medium head. Smells of floral hops and sweet toffee, it is delicate and light to swill. Tastes like a soft gentle hop, hint of fruit towards a roasted oat or nut finish. Not a bold beer, but nice and easy.

Bottle poured an amber hue w/ small off-white head. Moderate aroma of malty funk. Initial flavor is a light sweet to a low bitter finish. Taste of lightly toasted grains.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark copper/reddish pour with decent white head. Aroma: lovely spring/summer aroma. Citrus and redcurrants, roasted malt, hops, pine, spruce. Beatifully sweet from the fruit and malts. Slightly bitter from the hops. Good carbonation. One of the best reds I've tasted to date.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 35.5cl an amber red beer with huge creamy head. Nose is on exotic hops and pine. Aroma is on bitter caramel, pine, hops resine, anise, licorice, quite spicy, bitter chocolate touch, low sweet, long toasted and roasted malty aftertaste, ok.
