"pretty solid...considerably better than american amber from Rogue, great malt set-up and bitter finish...not as aromatic as i’d like, but worth a try. too expensive for a 3.7."

330ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a copper amber color. A bit cloudy. Forms a huge creamy and soapy beige head that leaves tons of lacings in the glass. Head is creamy and solid and never disappears S: Sweet caramel malts upfront. Strong American herby, flowery and a bit piny hops. A bit fruity too T: Slightly sweet upfont. Strong notes of crystal and caramel malts. A bit metallic sensation. Very smooth in the mouth. Balanced bitterness. Notes of toffee and bready yeasts M: Light body. Very good carbonation. Caramel and flowery hops aftertaste O: Great drinkability. Rogue quality [ BA Review @ 11/4/2013 ]

Less balanced than I would’ve liked, but at least the hop character was tasty. Lots of pine, some light tropical fruit, and a resin finish.

Ambrée/rouge, mousse beige moyenne. Nez de houblons résineux et caramel. Bouche sur les aromes de pins, résine, pamplemousse. Forte amertume, bonne longueur en bouche, carbonation moyenne, corps moyen.

Bottle at Zoo Brew. Pours a hazy amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges slowly and laces. Aroma has lots of bread and sweet grain notes with hints of caramel and resin. Flavor has lots of sweet grain and cookie with a bit of resin underlying.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2014 Bottle. Amberish in color with a medium head. Aroma and taste remind me of an IPA.

22oz bomber. Pours a strong clear burnt orange with moderate head and medium lacing. Strong aroma, lots of complex malts, smells awesome. The taste unfortunately isn’t quite as good, the hops really mask and cover up the bready flavors. The palate is fine, bitterness is long. Overall, points for originality, but not my favorite overall.
