bottle. Great looking redish amber ale. Some of these almost two year old bottles were erupting w/ carbonation, but luckly didn’t taste infected. Malty and a fresh hop kick that finishs w/ a rough edge.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 12 fl.oz from erzbierschof.ch. Coppery beer with a fleeting head. Aromas of bitter orange jam, caramelized malt, citrus. The taste is hopped with herbs and pine on a support of malt with notes of bread. There is orange, apricot, caramel which are braided by bitterness with a note of fresh wood. A greedy beer.

Botella de 33 cl en beni casa bar. Septiembre de 2012. de cervezalandia. Una red ale bastante correcta. Sabores mas o menos intensos para sus 5.1 vol. Seria bueno repetir de nuevo para volver a recordar sus matices.

Bottle in the White Swan, Chesterfield. Poured a pretty murky brown with a little cream froth. Plenty of hop flavour, especially pine and grapefruit. Fruity with a good bitter finish. Nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask (gravity dispense) at GBBF, day 2 in August 2007. Red /amber colour. No mention of dry hopping so perhaps that has become the norm rather than a variant in the intervening years. Agreeable flowery and fruity hop aroma. Light caramel and grassy hop on the palate. Quite light mouthfeel. Not a blockbuster but very pleasant drinking.

An excellent red ale that is full bodied without the corresponding strength. This allows one to enjoy another (easily).

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Intense pine-sprusy, super sweet fruity, malt-syrupy aroma, very pleasant. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter, with a bit sharp bitterness in aftertaste. Medium body, a bit too spongy mouthfeel. But seems it is mean to be easy drinkable pale ale. Weird but I don’t find it as amber ale at all.
