Review from notes. Poured into my Rogue pint glass. Coppery-brown with a tan head that leaves nice lacing. Toasty malts on the nose, with a nice spicy and floral Centennial hop aroma. Taste is very similar, with toasty malt cut through by hoppiness, although here the hops take on more citrus character. There’s also an awful metallic note here that throws everything off. Mouthfeel is crisp and dry but the metal hurts the drinkability.

Pours a solid amber. Thick off white head. The dry hop is the first thing that hits you. Then you get some malt, piney, citrus, and light peach aromas. The flavor is light with a very subtle hop bitterness and a nice sweet sticky malt flavor. Kinda caramely. Mouthfeel is sticky but not in a bad way. Not too bad.

Pours a nice red colour with a light brown head. Aroma is dry hops and some caramel. Taste is sweet fruit with some caramel leading to a quite a dry bitter finish. Pretty decent.

Bottle @ home. Gusher. Hazy, red-orange appearance with a light brown head. Big toasty toffee, caramel malty, somewhat piney hoppy aroma. Rich toffee flavor with a pine/spruce, grapefruity citrusy hoppy taste. Not bad.

Bottle from Nina’s. Pours a nice dark ruby colour with a fair beige head. Aroma of pine and pineapple with caramel and biscuity malt. Similar flavours of pine, pineapple and passion fruit. Nicely bitter with a dry finish. Moderate carbonation, a little CO2 prickle and an oily mouth-feel. Tasty.

[bottle] Delicious US hops aroma: citrus first and then pine, though slightly vegetal and with some faint caramel and green apple accents. Darkish copper and hazy, under a tawny eggshell, thin cover. Almost salty hops flavour on top, with some plastic and then a spicy hop and melanoidin mix that finishes with a nice dry bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation, moderately bitter finish.

Bottle purchased by and shared with my dad. Consumed 30.12.11 Pours amber with medium filmy head. Nice dryness, hoppy bite Pauline (dads partner) gets cherry lips confectionery, I get candy cigarettes. The hoppiness takes away the big maltiness, Pauline also gets Parma Violets (I don’t) very dry finish. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.4

Hazy golden amber pour with moderate bubbly cream colored head. Aroma primarily of grapefruit with some other citrus notes and light touches of pine and caramel. Taste is dominated by citrus hops with just a little malty sweetness present. Finish is rather bitter and slightly dry. Nothing too complex here with the hops dominating the nose and taste. A pretty decent amber ale overall.
