dark brown red with good persistent head. very strong aroma of malt, raisin, port, wet wood, caramel. taste follows suit but on the dry side. nicely avoids being cloying. good acidic zingy finish but with a touch of metal. body is med light and soft. Wow, a red ale I’m not apathetic about.

On tap at Pacific Standard. Pours a clear light brown with a thin white head. Light hop aromas, a touch of caramel and malt. Medium bodied, light malt. Unplesasnt plastic bitterness on the finish.

the dry hooping with this beer is very evident with the hop aroma really jumping out from the glass with this beer. malt character is still very evident with a lingering malt sweetness.

Begins with a lot of pine. Maybe some yeast in here as well. Foamy red pour. Very carbonated texture that dissipates to a nice semi-hoppy finish. Way less malt than I’d expected. Solid beer, but again, not really worth the $7 going rate for Rogue bombers.

Hazy copper appearance. The flavor is a bitter loblolly pine flavor and a sticky malt base. Crisp and sharp feel when drinking and a lingering sweetness.

Really should try this next to the American Amber. Malt aroma seems old, some wet dog. Dark caramel, sticky full white head. This bottle must be old, though I bought it recently. Stale malt, flat character. Neither offensive nor great.

Flaske 0,355l fra juletilbudet hos Alko Arkadia. Rødbrun på farge. Uklar. Høyt svakt brunfarget luftig skum som varte noen minutter. Kraftig humlet aroma. Søt & syrlig frukt. Litt tyggegummi. Smaken er i samme gate men den vokser videre og etterlater en langvarig ettersmak av grapefrukt.
