| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 8, 2010 Deep dark amber colored, cloudy appearance. Huge light brown head. Sweet caramelly and syrupy aroma with decent grassy-bitter hopped note, some licorice also comes up. Medium bodied. Flavor is more lemony in start, still chocolaty-licoricy sweetness comes up. Aftertaste turns to yeasty with lemon and bitter hops here too. Slightly watery palate. j12601 (1413), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Begins with a lot of pine. Maybe some yeast in here as well. Foamy red pour. Very carbonated texture that dissipates to a nice semi-hoppy finish. Way less malt than I’d expected. Solid beer, but again, not really worth the $7 going rate for Rogue bombers. mastabass666 (98), California, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Really should try this next to the American Amber. Malt aroma seems old, some wet dog. Dark caramel, sticky full white head. This bottle must be old, though I bought it recently. Stale malt, flat character. Neither offensive nor great.
