2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sampled on tap at the Ale House in SF. A fine mead, however the flavor is not sweet or refreshing. There is a combination of flavors however not something that sits nicely on the tounge.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light yellow pour with little head. Sweet honey and earth aroma. Crisp, sweet flavor. Pretty refreshing here in AZ on an 118-degree day.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Certified Mead Judge with BJCP ---
*Aroma - 3/10: Has a "dusty" aroma with hints of butter, plastic, and very little floral honey.
*Appearance - 1/3: Very light yelllow (almost like what you would expect from Starthistle honey) with a little bit of pink-ish color, hazy, and petillent. There are no legs that I can see which is unusual but possible in low-alcohol mead.
*Taste - 7/20: Immediately dry followed by a puckering and alcohol, then a little sweetness with an aftertaste of cardboard/oxidation. Lingering flavor is slick on the tongue like back-end sweetened honey and cardboard. Balance is towards alcohol, which is surprising given that this is a low-alcohol 5.2% ABV mead.
*Palate: 1/7 - The body is very thin, very dry, and the carbonation does not add any body. It leaves an unpleasant slickness to the tongue.
*Overall - 3/10: This mead tastes over-fermented and very harsh. I would classify this as a super dry petillent hydromel. The bottle didn’t overly hiss when we opened it so they must have over fermented. I poured all $7 of it down the drain. I would not buy this again and I would advise that this is not what mead is supposed to taste like.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
The nose was a lot like herbal tea, which is also how I’d describe the taste. Like a carbonated tea that for some reason had an alcohol content.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Anodyne. I would describe this as a honey creme soda. That is all. It's fine.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample(s). Straw golden with a thinner eggshell head. Nose mostly of flowers and herbal jasmine, some vibrant champagne yeastiness. Lightly sweet, not exactly bitter but definitely on the dry side. Lighter, crisp, effervescent, with a mid-length herbal dry finish. I thought this was pretty good, certainly refreshing, especially ice cold. I appreciate the dryness.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Active carbonation, yellowish color. Aroma of floral jasmine tea. Unique flavors, watered down honey, bready champagne yeast flavors, and jasmine. Very thin, watery textured.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fizzy, pale gold, not much head. Smells like grape suckers, honey, and flowers. Light, effervescent palate. Lots of honey, grape, and white wine. As it warms, the sweetness becomes more prominent, and the floral and herbal notes emerge, as well as a kinda unpleasant medicinal note. Actually better when ice cold...

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
650 ml. Clear golden with a lively body that maintains a small covering of bubbles. Aromas of beeswax and light flowery pollen. Flavors are the same, plus some apple cider and a hint of cinnamon developing later on. Light body is watery and sweet with a lightly astringent finish and highly carbonated. Tastes like what you would expect for a watered down mead: not great, but not a terrible thing for a summer day. I would recommend splitting the bomber bottle three or more ways though, as the sweetness gets to be a bit much after 8 ounces or so.
