(bottle, 66cl) Hazy, amber to copper colour with a big and firm, slightly tanned foamy head. Biscuity malty aroma with notes of caramel and honey, backed by floral, fruity and slightly herbal hops, including citric and lighter tropical accents. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Biscuity cara-malty base with complex and drying hoppy flavours: flowery, moderately fruity and mildly herbal accents can be found; moderately dry and hop bitter finish with notes of herbs and a touch of black tea, rounded up by a delicately malty sweetness. Balanced and complex IPA. 19.VIII.14

On tap, poured a deep golden hue w/ small white head and some sticky lacing. Huge fresh hop aroma. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a bold bitter finish of lasting duration. Tastes are tangerine, pine, and grass. Medium bodied and balanced mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: heavy cereal and toffee malts, heavy grass pine and resin hops. Appearance: dark gold, spare head. Taste: moderate sweet. Palate: medium to full body, flat carbonation, pineapple and strawberry coming up, remains quite sweet. Overall: very nice IIPA, excellent fruity sweetness. Pint at GBBF 2014, Kensington.

Cask at Great British Beer Festival 2014, Olympia, London. An orange/amber coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, pine, rather bitter and lacking in complexity. I was expecting a lot from this but it didn’t really deliver.

Solid double IPA. Good malty body, with some nice fruity hops, a lot of hops fortunately. They did everything right, but the beer lacks some characteristic touch.

Poured a darker yellow from the bottle with aromas of hops, citrus, grass, and light malt. Flavors are hops, hops, and light citrusy hops. Bitterness throughout, but not overpowering.

Had this on tap and I was surprised to see it as a double IPA. Clear brew with a muted but hoppy aroma profile, resinous and is filled with leafy hoppy notes. On the palate it found it a little sticky, bitter and leafy hoppy notes but overall I didn’t think it was overly strong or hoppy like other Double’s. Meh, decent stuff but there are better representations of this style.
