From 22oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a hazy orange yellow, with a thick white head. Nose is big hops, floral, citrus, earthy, piney. Taste is very balanced, mix of bitter ans sweet with a light-medium body. For such a big ABV, impressive IPA. Finishessharp, very drinkable and balanced which could be dangerous.

Pours a light orange-amber into the glass with a substantial frothy head that leaves nice retentive ring lacing. The nose is gorgeous, of tangerines, passionfruit, spruce-pine forestry, nectarines, apricots and peaches. A perfect tribute to the aroma of stone fruits. Flavors are held in check wonderfully, with lots of melon, stone fruits, woody bitters and a pine resin finish. For such complexity and substance, this brew is extremely quaffable with a medium-light body, a semi-active mouthfeel via the citrusy-melon juiciness complementing the medium carbonation zest on the palate. Extremely impressive, this is a very well-balanced brew with complexity for days, and still refreshing and citrusy. What a great combination of Rogue Farms' 7-hop profile. Absolutely delicious! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 22A). Bottle 65 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: a nice blend of strong floral aromas, mixed with fruits (some passionfruit and lychees) and pine. restrainged sweet malty background. APPEARANCE: orange color and just slight hazy. moderate ivory head with average retention. some lacing. TASTE: hop flavour predominant with notes similar to the aroma but a bit more restrained (floral, lychees, pine). background of a supportive and slight sweet malt character. medium-low bitterness with semi-dry finish and bitter. PALATE: medium-light body with a slight smooth texture. medium carbonation and no hop derived astringency. alcohol warmth very faint. OVERALL: a very good and complex double IPA with a plethora of hop notes and flavours. recommended.

Âmbar alaranjado, média formação e retenção. Amargor e dulçor equilibrados no aroma, frutada, caramelo, madeira, malte. Paladar com mais dulçor que uma IPA tradicional americana, paladar bem balanceado, menos impactante que o esperado, mas muito agradável. Corpo médio, baixa carbonatação. Ótimo aftertaste, pinho, dulçor, sabor de quero mais

[7231-20150517] Bottle. Malty hops leaf aroma. Slightly hazy, dark orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Boozy hops and grainy sweet malt flavour. Medium-full body. Good. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

The beer is a slightly hazed, ruby-highlighted copper coloring with a foamy, off-white head that sits about an inch on the surface. Aromas of pepper spices, grassy backbone characteristics and a sweet, rich overlay of grapefruit and orange, bold but not overpowering. Flavors are grapefruit forward, sweet and slightly tart, with a toasted and biscuit backbone. Highlights of lemon, pine, and subtle resinous notes. Very smooth and light in mouth. The aftertaste is more bitter, with the resinous notes becoming a little more upfront, but the citrus still holding strong. Bitter, slightly dry finish. A very balanced, and solid brew

Appearance: clear deep gold with one fingers of ivory head diminishing gradually to a thin ring, no lacing. (3/5) Aroma: pine, caramel malt, tropical fruit, light citrus. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering mildly bitter finish. (4/5) Little disappointing. Aw, who’m I kidding, it’s Rogue, it’s not like I’m surprised or anything. The kitchen sink of hops is a bit muddled and doesn’t come through cleanly over the caramel malt. OK, not great. (14/20)
