[7231-20150517] Bottle. Malty hops leaf aroma. Slightly hazy, dark orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Boozy hops and grainy sweet malt flavour. Medium-full body. Good. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

The beer is a slightly hazed, ruby-highlighted copper coloring with a foamy, off-white head that sits about an inch on the surface. Aromas of pepper spices, grassy backbone characteristics and a sweet, rich overlay of grapefruit and orange, bold but not overpowering. Flavors are grapefruit forward, sweet and slightly tart, with a toasted and biscuit backbone. Highlights of lemon, pine, and subtle resinous notes. Very smooth and light in mouth. The aftertaste is more bitter, with the resinous notes becoming a little more upfront, but the citrus still holding strong. Bitter, slightly dry finish. A very balanced, and solid brew

Visual: Pours bright brown-orange with a smallish dissipating head, a thin spotty layer of micro retention, lots of scattered slow steady streams. Nose: fruity citrus vibrant hops, sweet toffee malts. (lvl-6)-pungency Attack: malty-oily slick mouthfeel, smooth entry Mid-palate: (lvl-5)-sweetness, (MAIN) malty toffee sweet, resin, orange citrus Finish: tingly-light burpy, clean light toasted malt, soft bitter grapefruit grassy hopped finish. Summary: A very palatable and approachable IPA with soft but prominent flavours that aren’t too taxing in terms of bitterness.

Flaska från De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Dimmig rödbrun vätska med vitt skum. Doftar jordbruk, honung och kåda. Murrig karamellsötma och barrskogseftersmak. Lite kraftigare beska hade gjort sig bra. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flaska delad med @msbrindbergs, tack! Grumlig bärnstensfärgad vätska med stort gräddigt skum. Doftar kraftigt kåda och sav med viss sötma. Smaken följer med i svängarna men når ingen toppnotering.

First brew I’ve had from Rogue, heard a lot of good things, but never was convinced by word, so I gave em a shot on this one. Pour into snifter with a rosy-gold body and off-white lingering head. Aroma of fresh pine, resiny citrus, but most notably, an extraordinarily fresh floral scent in there (almost like sticking your face into a fresh bouquet) plus a very unique juiciness. Flavor is quite drinkable for the variety of hops used. Medium bodied with a subtle earthy bottom end, floral astringency, not-overly-resiny ripe citrus. Palatable mouthfeel for a double. Fresh/local hops truly highlighting unique flavors/scents other beers could never achieve. I’m a fan.
