A bit confused by the near perfect scores for this beer. Like most Rogue Ales, this is a bit too malty to be a true hop monster. The aroma leans strongly towards malt with earthy and subtle flowery and citrus hop notes as well. The flavor is a bit of a mess. For starters the mouthfeel is soft and a bit watery. There’s no cohesion amongst the crop of hops with each seemingly vying for my palates attention. It’s simply too many flavors and they don’t blend. In the end I was left with a fairly dry bitter finish with a some lemon. A very good example of why you can’t just throw all the hops you’ve got into a batch...

Great IPA with a rich taste. Could well be the best IPA i’ve tasted so far.

Cloudy orange, nice white head. Smells of honey, nectar, melon, tropical fruit. Full creamy body. Dryish flavour. Honey & biscuit malts, citric medium bitterness. Nice balance. Very good.

Bottle. Dark amber with a frothy head. Nice fresh hop muted resin aroma, slightly dank but a nice smooth carbonation and full body, becomes dry and nicely bitter.

Very similar to the 6 hop IPA butt more hoppy and bitter. Again a very mild but fresh hopper remote with a little bit of caramel malt and toffee. Medium-length better finish. Quite drinkable but I like the six better.

Gylden brun klar med høyt eggegult skum. Lukter sydhavsfrukter, noe nøtter, plommer og ananas. Fyldig. Medium + i bitterhet. Dype fruktige toner, sydhavsfrukter og noe maltige innslag mot fudge og nøtter. Middels lang, noe alkohol i avslutningen.

355ml bottle. Pours amber with a little head. Aroma is caramel, peach, apple, melon. Flavour has more sweet caramel fruit up front and a biscuit finish, with some bitterness left to savour. It’s a big mess of caramel and biscuit malts and big bitter fruity hops, in the best way. Fabulous.

Light brown colour. Aroma has lots of floral hop notes. Flavour is quite malty and has some sweet candy too. Well balanced bitterness.

Hazed amber body with lasting ivory head. Citrus, tropical fruit, herbal, green hop aromas. Sweet malt base brew with tangy citrus, tropical fruits, light pit fruit flavors---tangy fruity finish____not bad.
