3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A bit confused by the near perfect scores for this beer. Like most Rogue Ales, this is a bit too malty to be a true hop monster. The aroma leans strongly towards malt with earthy and subtle flowery and citrus hop notes as well. The flavor is a bit of a mess. For starters the mouthfeel is soft and a bit watery. Thereís no cohesion amongst the crop of hops with each seemingly vying for my palates attention. Itís simply too many flavors and they donít blend. In the end I was left with a fairly dry bitter finish with a some lemon. A very good example of why you canít just throw all the hops youíve got into a batch...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Smell: candied citrus, honey, pine resin, pineapple. Palate: syrupy sweet & malt, thick mouth feel, alcohol (feels like this is a 10%+ abv beer). Finish: bitter citrus rind, dry pine, licorice, with an astringent note. (bottled 05/03/16)

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Kind of dark orange with huge head. Tastes like orange and mango, very creamy and creamsicle like. Kind of unexpected, I thought it would be brutally bitter but there is a ton of flavour without insane bitterness, really nice!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
355 ml bottle bought at Good Stuff in Yuen Long.
Looks: Translucent amber honey colour; Half finger head and soapy off-white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Very good sticky lacing with near zero carbonation.
Aroma: Very fragrant and sweet full Ale malt, with strong pineapples, candied fruits, strong honey, floral nectar, strong pine, alcohol, lemon peels and grass.
Taste: Mid to strong sweet Ale malt, with pretty strong grapefruits and citrus, strong caramel, floral, strong molasses, strong pine, strong resins, spices, biscuits, strong lemon, strong bitter hops and sharp grass.
Body: Medium body. Very slick and quite oozy palate.
Mouth Feel: Strong Ale maltyness in a pretty rich and slick background. Strong caramel, very citrusy grapefruit hops with nice strong bitterness but not overtly so. Sweetness is mid to strong, well balanced by strong pine and resin ooze. Spicy and biscuit with strong lemon to round. Neat!
Hoppiness: Strong pineapples, candied fruits, floral nectar, strong pine, lemon peels and grass in nose. Grapefruits, citrus, floral, strong pine, strong resins, spices, strong lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is strong and pleasing for a lasting, high astringent sweet-bitter malty finish.
After Taste: Fairly dry. Sweet, citrusy and strong bitter to mouth.
Comments: Hop-wise, this one has quite addictive pineapple and nectarish aroma, and good dose of citrus , pine and resin to boot. Not the strongest IIPA and quite simple in approach, but it did enough to be comfy and pleasing. Very solid and nice to have!

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
$2.60 bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours orange-amber with a thin head. Aroma is syrupy pine/citrus/resin and orange hard candy. I can tell by the aroma this isnít going to be my type of IPA. Flavor is somewhat better than the aroma, but I canít say I like it. Taste is thick syrup, bitter orange candy, pine, licorice, caramel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster at Dutchís from notes. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma has grapefruit citrus, resiny hops, and a bit of cat piss. The flavor has grapefruit citrus, resin, earthy hops with pale toasted malts, caramel, better than I expected it would be.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A nice, bright orange beer. The nose is made of thick, alcohol and piney hop. In the mouth itís quite bitter, with an orange pith flavor. The body is medium and the alcohol weighs really heavy on this one.
