Hazy dark amber to copper cored pour with a 2 finger, soapy beige head. Aroma starts with super fruity hops with a nice bite, a full gamut of citrus, lots of floral and a little tart tropical fruit, then some tart berry, mild toast, sweet biscuit and some floral/fruity notes that I can’t exactly pin down. Flavor is tree and berry fruit, caramel and biscuit up front, then citrus, floral, passion fruit-tropical, earthy and herbal hops, lots of fruity, berry perfume and light, but noticeable spicy, phenolic notes. Medium body, oily, syrupy and a hint of creaminess throughout along with a medium carbonation. Really tasty stuff, there are a couple off notes, but overall it was very enjoyable.

Bottle from Rogue. Pours a amber copper with a white head. Nose is some malt, caramel, big melon, tropical fruit, and some pineapple with guava. Flavor is similar with big melon, caramel, tropical fruit, and guava. Medium in body and very nice overall.

Pours golden orange with thin head; foamy but thin head, nice lacing present. Aromas of grapefruit, tropical fruits, loads of pine, hints of alcohol and caramel malt. Taste is big, chewy pine; bitterness is solid but overpowering and slightly boozy. It’s ok, not my favorite IPA or Rogue offering.

I hadn’t got around to buying a bomber bottle of this Rogue ale when I spotted it in 12 oz bottles this week. The undated 12 oz bottle was served in a lager glass. No sediment in the bottle or glass. ABV listed as 7.77%. The orange-amber body has plenty of visible carbonation and is topped by a moderate size and very durable white head. Complex and bold yet balanced blend of 7 OR hop varieties. Beloved slightly earthy flavor from the Pacman yeast. Overall: outstanding, highly drinkable American IPA.

Pine in the aroma, some notes of grapefruit and orange. Deep orange color, with a tan head. Some sweetness up front. Caramel, one dimensional. Bitterness comes in quickly. Dry pine, hoppy resin coats throat on finish. Booziness is evident also. Finish is bitter. Malt gets lost. O.k.

12 ounce bottle - $2.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a near clear, orange-copper body with a medium-small, whitish head. Scant lacing. Smell: A pithy waft of citrus rinds given a dusting of ground aspirin and sliver of fresh pine with some lightly bready malts and sweetish traces of sugar cookies. Taste: Pale and actively bready maltiness with a moderate degree of cookie-ish, blonde caramelly sweetness. Floral and citrusy, leafy and hinting of lime. Moderately bitter. Though that sweetish breadiness and cookie accent fights to come through, it’s still leafy, citrusy and lightly resiny on the reasonably bitter finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Man, I really hate the phrase "it is what it is." However, well, like Hop 4, what can you say, but that it is what it is.

Very good 7 hop IPA from rogue ales in Oregon. Love their beer but very expensive always.

Appearance: pours with a large beige head, the beer is a deep amber color, pretty clear Aroma: grass, pine, dank, possibly some caramel Taste: intensely bitter, lots of grass and pine, alcohol, a rich caramel malt almost of maple Palate: average carbonation, medium mouthfeel, strong bitter aftertaste Overall: this beer has a very nice strong bitterness, it does taste like the alcohol is pretty strong, lots of hop flavors besides the bitterness, a good big ipa but could hide the alcohol better ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into a taster showing honey amber with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows light caramel malt. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of light sweet malt and light hoppy bitterness. Not a lot of other flavors. Pine resin on the linger.
