Rogue Fresh Roast is made with Rogue Farms barley fresh roasted at the brewery. The barley is taken directly out of the roaster and rushed 273 feet over to the brew kettle. We don’t think it gets much fresher than that, and we know you’ll taste the difference.

Draught @ Stag’s Head. Fully opaque dark brown with medium sized creamy beige head, milk chocolate aroma, medium carbonation, slightly sweet mocha taste, abrupt finish. Tasted almost like a milk stout, quite nice.

sample at mondial de la bière 2015 - mtl. dark amber pour with a minimal off-white cap offering some lacing. toasted/roasted maltiness, coffee, nutty spicy and fruity maltiness, earthy grinds, clean yeast. light carbonation, light body, relatively dry earthy-grassy-spicy finish. your everyday amber pimped by a fresh roastiness. but quite nicely executed.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a translucent dark reddish brown. Color. Large Rocky tan head. Fresh roasted malt aroma has notes of coffee and baked bread. Roasted malt flavor upfront. Notes of sweet cocoa and spicy hops. Midtaste brings earthy, nutty malt flavor and spicy hops. Moth chocolaty finish is pleasant and flavorful.

Black basically, but the bottle appeared to have a red hue. Aroma is chocolate mocha cookie. Hints of fruit wine. Sweet buiscuit. Yeah cookie really. Same in taste with a classic dark malt berry taste. Rich, nutty malt. Berry. Roasty. Smooth some ashyness, cigar, leather with chocolate. pretty nice brown ale. Hint of smoke almost. Move over hazel nut brown ale.

Appearance: pours with a large tan head that has nice retention, the beer is a deep dark maroon color, almost brown, appears to be clear Aroma: strong coffee, hard to pick up much else Taste: medium sweetness, coffee, has a coffee bitterness to it as well, Palate: average carbonation, light mouthfeel, small bitter aftertaste Overall: not what I was expecting, it's a light beer with a strong coffee note to it, kind of simple Taste and aroma in my opinion, not bad but not special ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A delicious brown ale. Aroma was roasted malt with a hint of biscuit, graham cracker and chocolate. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was roasty and good. Roasted malt with a little chocolate and slightly grassy. Mildly hoppy finish with some bitter roasted malt lingering. Nice carbonation.

650 ml. pours deep copper-brown with a red tinge and a lasting film of cream. Nose is dry cocoa, dark toast, coffee, prickly green herb and caramel. Flavors of molasses, graham cracker, lightly soured cocoa and green herb. A nice small touch of char and ash on the long finish. Light-medium body is to the sweet side as a good brown should be, but has a nice drinkable balance. Medium carbonation
