Formerly Chatoe Rogue Good Chit Pilsner.
Good Chit Pilsner is made with Rogue Farm barley that we Floor-Malted in small batches. Floor Malting is an old fashioned, 8 day process that includes steeping, germination, raking, roasting, bagging and hands-on love 24 hours a day. "Chit" refers to the start of the rootlets that emerge from the embryo of the kernel once steeping is complete and germination begins.

Bottle - 650ml. Hazy blond body with an average, white foamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with grainy and some piney hints. Its fresh hoppy aroma carries malty, grainy, coriander and citrusy notes. Ends with a good bitter/herbal finish. Interesting.

Pours a golden yellow color with a clean corn malt aroma. This beer is a bit watery, with a light malt flavor. Easy drinking, and simple beer. Good for those hot days when all you want is a decent pilsner.

Poured from tap to glass. Straw hue with soft white head. Aroma is straw, sulphur, pine, cereal. Mouthfeel is refreshing with a medium light body and zesty carbonation. Taste is dry initially with a sulphur bitter following and clean finish. Overall this is a nice pilsner.

Malty pilsner, with more hops than usual for the style. Results in some sort of an IPA with a thin body. Decent.

22 picked up tonight at the Boise COOP.. The pour is beautiful... very pale golden/yellow... great 2-3 finger white head shows tons of lacing and retention. Nose shows a decent Czech style pils with a pronounced pale malt and a slightly spicy/maybe even flora hop note.. but there is far too much DMS in the nose.. pretty corny with warmth.... I enjoyed it much more when cold. Flavor has a good malt balanced by a decent hop bitterness... the hops form mid palate and finish a bit lite. Again there is an offputting corniness that I am getting that lingers and lingers.. Body and carbonation are both close to perfect.... but when it warms up, the corn comes out... drink it cold.. otherwise, it is getting close to a drain pour for me. I would be amazed if a lager yeast was used on this one... it seems more like a "steam" yeast that got too warm.
