COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Chatoe Rogue Good Chit Pilsner.
Good Chit Pilsner is made with Rogue Farm barley that we Floor-Malted in small batches. Floor Malting is an old fashioned, 8 day process that includes steeping, germination, raking, roasting, bagging and hands-on love 24 hours a day. "Chit" refers to the start of the rootlets that emerge from the embryo of the kernel once steeping is complete and germination begins.

I feel like I am sitting in Germany drinking this. Right down (or up) to the foamy white head, this beer is an excellent Pilsner! Of course, the chilled Wurzburger Hoffbrau glass does not hurt! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle in San Carlos Safeway. Big buy short while head. Clear solid yellow color. Nice but modest hop aroma. Sweet and malty taste. Fulll bodied for a pilsner.

sample at mondial de la bière 2016, mtl. hazy very pale golden with a small white cap offering some retention and lacing. sulphuric grassiness, slightly acidulted maltiness, crisp pils - peppery and grapey; some apple orchard fruitiness as well, clean yeast action. moderate carbonation, light body - slightly watery; drying and crisp spicy-grassy-citrusy finish. very clean and quite noble, notwithstanding its american etiquette. refreshing american pils.

Good beer; not great, prob wouldn’t buy another. But good beer. I’ve tried it a few times now. Not enough malt for my tastebuds. Prob fits the American Pilsner guidelines just fine though. To be simple, good clean beer, maybe I taste a little DMS; but hardly detectable. Clarity is on point, carbonation on point. I could us a little more malt flavor though. But I guess it isn’t a Vienna or a Czech Pils...so what do I expect..

Poured from the tap into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma had a grass smell with bread and hops. The taste was mostly yeasty bread with hops. Overall, this was slightly better than average.

On draft at When Pigs Fly, Kittery, Maine. This hits all the trademarks of a good pilsner -- it’s crisp, a little dry, and it has some of that bready, slightly pungent pilsner malt aroma. Excellent for the style.

Tap at Rogue Hall. Thin malty nose, noble hops. Very pale straw color. Sweet breads malty initial, decent hopping. The bitterness strings along through mid and final. Thin body. Good, but perhaps a touch too bitter for style.

From bomber. For a pils, it’s not bad. I’m a little out of touch with pils, and I still prefer ales to lagers, but it’s a palatable quaff. Thin with not much mouth feel, but decent aroma and finish. Great cloudy color.

Pours a clear gold on tap with little to no head or lace. Aroma of slight biscuit malt and earth, but really faint on both. Taste is pretty solid, an overly hopped pils, lingering bitterness. No mouth, carbonation you want just isn’t there. Meh.

Pours a clear yellow with virtually no lace or carbonation. Aroma has the faintest hint of malt and it tastes like a classic Pilsner with a touch more bitterness than is typical for this beer style.
