Situated just across from 40 acres of Rogue hops, 119 colonies of bees were carefully kept and fed and the honey was uncapped, extracted, filtered, and finally infused into a refreshing Honey Kolsch ale.

Leans bland, per style, and sweet (sweeter than style). Nice for today’s 90 degrees...but don’t need again.

Bottle. Sweet honey of aroma with light notes of malt and hops. Pours golden colored with half a finger of white head that has excellent retention and a little bit of lacing. Starts with rich honey sweetness with a bit of malt there as well. Finishes smooth and a bit dry with some hops before the honey takes over the palate again. Pretty sweet for a kolsch, but still darn tasty.

Tallahassee, Fl. - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Brilliant, medium gold pour, quickly fading white head. Aroma is grassy with hints of fresh lake water. Flavor is crisp with some nice creamy, buttery notes, a hint of honey sweetness and a bit of sweet cake mix goodness. Crisp mouthfeel. Refreshing in the near 100° Florida heat.

Brilliant clear gold but with a fast fading white cap. Bright honey and German golden malt on the nose. Crisp and dry flavor with a lift bit of honey throughout, but otherwise a crisp and clean classic kolsch. Dry and clean and brightly yellow German malty.

The honey really comes through, and it tastes great. Cool stuff Rogue has been doing lately, other than closing down their Eugene Brewpub.

12 oz via bottle. Aroma of wheat, grains, honey and light hops (herbs, wood, spice). Similar flavor, smooth, light and easy to drink. A little bland and boring but fine otherwise.

Not bad. Fairly light honey character. Touch on the sweet side. Soft carbonation and slightly thin.

Decent beer. Aroma was yeast, earthiness and sweet light malt. Pour was a lightly hazy but clear medium light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was decent. Way too sweet for a kolcsh though. Persistent light malt and honey sweetness that didn’t let much else through. Medium carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with white head. Straw, honey, malty, floral aromas. Straw, honey, earthy, floral, malty flavors with a slightly bitter finish. A nice balance of honey sweetness with the straw and earthiness of a kolsch, and finished with a slightly bitter finish. Quite refreshing, I could have a few of these.

On tap. Pours a hazy gold with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that laces nicely. Mild aroma of grain, honey and a hint of lemon. Sweet flavour of grain, honey, lemon and straw with a slightly dry, mildly bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Ok.
