3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Visual: It says ale on the bottle which I bet is correct, but let’s just say it’s a lager because it drinks like one. Pours cloudy golden lager yellow with a smallish lasting creamy head, a thin layer of retention, some lacing, not that many slow singular streams.
Nose: faint citrus grassy malt (lvl-2)-pungency
Attack: crisp fizzy smoothness
Mid-palate: mellow (lvl-5)-lager sweetness, fizzy crisp, (MAIN) malts, honey, mild lemon citrus
Finish: persistent honey sweetness, very soft hopped bitter malty sweet finish.
Summary: Drinks like a medium-bodied lager, like an upgraded version of the big company beers out there (Kokanee, Bud, etc.). Not terribly complex or deep, it’s a nice meal beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle sampled at Classic City Brew Fest 2014. Pours a golden yellow with bubbly white head. Aroma is crisp malts and lager cleanliness. Taste follows, more honey malt and less of the actual honey. Not bad.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
So, I thought this was light, and would have been more refreshing except for a slightly bitter middle taste. Didn’t get a sense of honey, but then this is kind of nicely sweet and pleasant a drink. Earthy aroma, pale yellow pour, it;s not a bad drink for a slower sunday recovery.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bright, slightly hazy golden yellow with small, diminishing white head that does not leave lace. It smells wonderful, with honey, honeysuckle florals, and earthy, sort of dank barnyard aromas. The taste has a really nice, clean sweetness, balanced with some earthiness, a touch of hoppy zing, and biscuit flavors. It finishes sweet and bready. The carbonation is sufficient. And it holds up surprisingly well with some warming. It’s well-balanced, a successful combination of tastes.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy golden with copper tones and small white head. Aroma is honey, malt, caramel and some toasted notes. Round and fruity mouth feel with medium carbonation. Aftertaste is honey, malt and lingering floral hop bitterness. Overall: well made. But, all the good stuff is to mellow to make this a stand out ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A delicate twist to a classic style. Well balanced crisp and toasty notes, complemented with fruit flavors present in this alt-style beer pair beautifully with Rogue’s own home-grown hops and honey. The dry notes and almost European-like flavors from the hops combine really well to make a great American example of classic German beer style.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pale golden with a thin white head. Aroma is very light with some slight sweet notes from the honey. Flavor is light and crisp with a pleasant sweetness. Not cloying at all for a light beer that’s a little sweet. Just a touch of bitterness in the finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy yellow with a thick white head. Tons of carbonation. Lemon aroma. Tastes of lemon with a slight honey hint in the middle. A bit of hops worth a yeasty aftertaste. Not bad.
