Smells good. Zesty and sweet. Tastes light with the hint of honey easy to detect. Smooth, not overpowering or underwhelming. Good beer for a hot day.

Sweet honey aroma, some grainy elements. Light clear yellow body whit head not much retention. Taste is again grainy and sweet. Not too complex. Not offensively sweet. Okay.

Very pleasant, I expected a huge sweet bomb, but that was not the case. The honey seems to have taken the graininess out of the kolsch. Aroma is very clean and I seem to detect some kind of floral notes. Flavor is also really clean, better than a typical kolsch.

Bottle, shared with Rockley. Medium gold, lasting thick white head. Clean grains with lovely fruity and floral accents, presumably the honey. Clean and very drinkable, not at all too sweet as I had feared. I’m not sure how true to style this is, but it was an excellent lighter beer.

Sample during Jungle Jim’s International Beerfest. End of the bottle. Hazy yellow color. Thin bubble white head. Decent ridge of lace. Bread, honey, crackers. Bigger floral character. Moderate-plus sweet taste. Light bitter. Light dry finish. Lighter to medium body. Lighter carbonation. Mild slick, then kinda dry in the finish. Reasonably smooth. An alright kolsch. Smooth, nice flavor. Very mild bite in the finish, though. Hint of stomach acid to it.

Pours clear golden yellow with a small white head. Head retention is ok. AROMA: honey, orange, hay, grassy, malty/wheat, leaves, light crisp herbal hops, faint banana and floral. TASTE: crisp malt/wheat, honey, orange zest, hay, grassy bitterness, faint hop spice, leaves, floral, slight banana, bubblegum and herbs. AFTER TASTE: wheat, honey, orange zest and banana with a crisp clean finish.

It’s lacking in a number of the Kolsch hallmarks I love. Particularly in texture where this reminds me much more of an English Golden ales. The nose is quite sterile. Flavor-wise, it’s got some good sweetness with a tiny touch of honey flavor in the finish. The hop character is quite green, or maybe that’s the grain either way it’s pretty weak. What year was used? Who can say.

750 ml. Clear golden body has a steady stream of bubbles that support a thing disc of foam. Aroma of sweet dried grass, honey, toast and a touch of lemon zest. Tastes the same, with the earthy honey lingering the further I delve in to the glass. Near-medium bodied brew leans sweet and malty but manages to strike a decent balance. Tingly, medium-high carbonation isn’t my style but it never becomes explosive and definitely helps keep this one from getting sticky. Well-executed take on a kolsch, but just a bit less honey might have really made this one soar.

Draft. Pours a hazy golden color. Aroma and taste are lightly sweet with bready malts and honey.

Drank at The Tap Room’s 1st anniversary party -- This brew is crushable and delicious. I could/would drink many more of these. A well done brew.
