We made this braggot with our own marionberries, hops, barley, and honey. Situated across from 40 acres of Rogue hops, 119 Colonies of bees were carefully kept, fed, and smoked and the honey was uncapped, extracted, filtered and finally infused into a refreshing Marionberry Braggot.

Oh this is weird. Malty. Honey backbone. I’m not liking this. Some kind of strange berry I’m not used to. Im not digging this.

Pour is a deep vibrant purple, dark but with hints of red and orange to it. Barely any carbonation of course, so very little head or bubbles to this. Smell is honey, berries, deep vibrant smoke and sweetness. Very layered, with different berries and flowers at the top. Taste follows: a deep resonating warmth from the berries and honey, a sourness from the berries, almost bitter but not quite, and sweetness. Hard to pin down specifically. Palate is lasting sweetness, a bit more sourness from the berry, and the heavy alcohol setting in....nice....

It's ok but I'm thinking this was an old bottle as the flavor was kinda dulled and mild. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: pours with a medium tan head that settles quickly, the beer is a very hazy amber color, almost black, the haze is so thick that you can almost see particles Aroma: honey, raspberry, bread, toasted malt, red grapes, oatmeal cookies, smells very good, very complex Taste: raspberry, has a very full yet subtle sweetness, some alcohol warmth is evident, bitterness interlaced with the alcohol on the finish, Palate: very full mouthfeel, average carbonation, bitter and alcohol on the finish Overall: the aroma on this beer is amazing, the taste is average, hides the ridiculously high abv well but it's still a large component of the taste, raspberry tastes center stage with the honey in the background, drink in cold weather slowly ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A reddish copper braggot with a very thin off white head. In aroma, loads of raspberry jam, light caramel malt with light acidity. In mouth, a sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, loads of raspberry jam, light cork character, OK. On tap at Brother’s Beer Bistro.

Pours hazy nut brown with a touch of purple. Small, thin bone-colored head that was gone quickly. Aromas of honey and caramel malt mixed with tart berry. Full body with an astringent finish. A bit syrupy. Nutty malt with a touch of honey up front, some berry underneath. A bit of an alcohol bite at the back. This would probably be addressed with a bit of aging.

On tap at the brewery tap Sf. Hazed chestnut brown / amber coloured pour with a lasting cream coloured pour. Aroma is harsh solvent, toffee apple, nutty malts, wet paint. Flavour is composed of strawberry shortcake, caramel, solvent, berry, jammy fruit. Warming alcohol. Palate is semi sweet, chewy, medium bodied. Not much honey.

Good job covering the abv on this one. Tastes thick and full, and obviously a little sweet with lots of florals, berry and honey on the nose and palate...but never hot. Nicely done.

From a bomber. Poured into a mug and it looks kind of like root beer including the tan foam. A berry aroma leads by plenty. I am not familiar with this variety but it smells kind of like blue berries. Flavor is complex and generally sweet. It tastes like a mead and that honey. It also has rich malts, berries, grain, and earth. The foam is never less than a half finger and helps to give a creamy feel. I don’t taste alcohol but sure can feel it! The final sip was almost pure sugary honey. Dangerously easy to drink.
