COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We made this braggot with our own marionberries, hops, barley, and honey. Situated across from 40 acres of Rogue hops, 119 Colonies of bees were carefully kept, fed, and smoked and the honey was uncapped, extracted, filtered and finally infused into a refreshing Marionberry Braggot.

Bottle - 750mL crowned. Murky, nearly opaque, dark brown pour with a short tan head. Aroma is dark honey, berries, toasted malt, caramel notes, and light earthy notes. Taste is sweet malt, honey, berries, candied fruit, toffee, earthy notes and toasted dark bread. Body is medium with a strong, dense, bubbly carbonation. Finishes with more honey notes, caramel, toasted malt, dark bread, berries and earthy notes. Pleasant!

Aroma of blueberries, dark malts, chocolate, roasted malts, black cherries, and yeast funk. Appears a dark blackish purple with a thin foam rim. Taste is blueberries, blackberries, dark fruits, plums, grape juice and pie crust. Other notes of honeydew, sweet malts, dark molasses, plums and blueberry pie. Overall, a very different beer style with some nice dark fruit overtones and malty caramel, alcohol and sweetness from berries. B+ rating.

The aroma is very strong with alcohol, berries, and a hint of honey. The appearance is maroon with a small head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall to strong for me.

Bottle. Pours a deep purple with an amber hue with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a slight dark berry note, dark grains with a strong dry honey backbone. Flavor has some dark grains with a hint of chocolate, dark berries and a bit of dry honey.

Bottle from the Nova in Hudson, WI poured into a snifter. Pours deep but translucent ruby, almost russet. Big, attractive nose with sweet and jammy berries, aromatic hops and a touch of barley. At first flavor is less complex than aroma - acerbic and alcohol forward - but I am drinking this at a cold temperature so I will let it warm up...As it warms the flavor develops a little more richness and melds better, but still quite rough. I’ve made mead before and know that it can take a good 1-2 years, I wonder if this was racked for long enough. Still, one of the better American takes on a mead I’ve had recently - as an eastern European fond of the style I wish there were more - and quite an adventurous twist with the local fruit juice. Extra points for an intriguing sipper.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a purple hue, thin head. No retention. Aroma has a ton of beery and light earthy hops. Flavor is all over the place. The hops seem to fight the berry and honey flavor. Berry is the most forward flavor with hints of honey. Its just has a simple beery beer feel to it. Medium body with normal carbonation. Well, the ABV is hidden nicelt but this is not a repeat buy.

Pours a deep dark brown. Nice bubbly, tan head. Aroma of berries and other fruits. A little roasty. Taste has a hint of honey, sweet berry and hoppy. Nice carbonation. A very interesting brew.

Not bad. Smells like candy and tastes similar but with a bit of the heat from the almost 12% alcohol. Not as smooth as other meads I’ve had.
