On tap at Brothers Beer Bistro (Ottawa, ON). Hazy brown body with a thin, off-white creamy head. Pleasant malty/hoppy aroma with marionberry, barley and brown sugar hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its well balanced taste carries fruity and woody notes. Ends woth a long, warming bittersweet finish. Enjoyable.

Pretty boozy and sweet, but theres a decent core of malt in there. Im *still* not sure what a marionberry is.

Sample during Jungle Jims International Beerfest. Mostly clear, darker red, kind of purple color. Thin off-white bubbly head. Leaves decent ridges of lace. Interesting fruity berry aroma, honey, mildly spicy. Bigger sweet taste, light sort of spicy bite to it. Mild to moderate bitter, touch of astringent. Bit of heat on the end. Medium to bigger body. Kind of full feel. Interesting stuff overall, but not great. Kind of like bubblegum, or cough syrup. A pleasant, unique aroma, but an unpleasant taste and a rough, spicy finish. I pity the consumor that attempts to drink a bottle solo. Honestly, I wanted to like this more than I did.

On tap @ Rogue Public House - Portland. Reddish pink pour with some white foam. Smells like sour berries and feet. Funky mushroom and damp wood thing going on. Maybe some grape juice. This is some seriously funky stuff, and not in a good way. Theres just a lot of sugary fruit juice-type drink. Mild lemon juice. Tangy.

sample at mondial de la bire 2015 - mtl. unclear medium dark brown orange-red tint, with a small off-white cap, some retention and lacing,. burnt caramel, spicy honey - almost burnt/charred, gently smoked berries - not so bright though; minty bubblegum, some sweetness - flowery honey and brown sugar, peppery booze, iron. light carbonation, light body - oily and a bit syrupy; semi-sweet and boozy caramel-spicy finish. o-k.

22 ounce bottle purchased at Raleys in Woodland. The aroma is oxidized toffee and cardboard. Not much else. Light sweet vinous character, but mostly musty oxidation. Pours a murky, brownish amber color with a small, light tan head. Starts with a bit of a tart, fruity character, before some roastiness and caramel malts come through in the middle. Finishes with more butterscotch and diacetyl. Warming, boozy. A fucking mess of a beverage.

Somewhere between a 2 and 4oz bottle pour at SAVOR 2015s Saturday night session. Poured a hazy reddish-brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was bready caramel, with some floral notes. Light fruits. Flavor was light bitter notes. Interesting. Booze comes through on this one.
