On tap at Euston Tap. Hazy reddish brown with lasting cream head. Its got that sweet rogue thing going on. Decent happy sweet rogue beer. I haven’t had this type of beer for sometime. And it is fun. Overly sweet malt and big grapefruit hop. But sometimes you just gotta go with it and enjoy it. I could pick the faults out but frankly i like the big dumb animal. Tasty.

Has the fruity sweet aroma I’m starting to associate with the Chatoe Rogue offerings. Rather clear orange beer with big tan head that falls pretty quickly. Scant lacing. Taste is initial carmel sweetness quickly replaced by a sharp bitterness. Long finish but kind of heavy on the palate.

This is a pale ale huh? Maltyness to the extreme. The beer tastes like a beer that never finished fermenting. So much residual sweetness fighting with the hops and not pleasant. Failure imo.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2011 Smells of rotten/stale malts, no hops at all in the aroma. Taste is cheap malts with some bittering. No hop flavors or aroma, cheaply made beer and poor imo.

Draught @ Kaisla, Helsinki.
Pours a dark amber colour with a nice, creamy and thick head. Aroma of nutty toasted malts and grassy hops. Flavour of toasted malts, weird bubblegum, grassy hops and sweet fruits. Medium bodied with a thick mouthfeel and a finish of sweet fruits and bitter grassy hops. More of an amber ale than an APA. Too sweet anyway.
