My bottle [650ml] shared with HogTownHarry, jerc & mabel. Pours a murky orange-copper with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma has lots of resiny hops along with caramel malt and biscuity notes. Flavour: Whoa, I didn’t expect that, it’s almost Barley Wine-ish: Again, lots of resiny hops along with caramel malt and fruit and a dry, bitter finish -- simple but pleasant. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good, not what I expected but I liked it.

5/22/11. Bomber. Amber pour, almost orange/red with a small tan head. Mild aroma of floral hops and earthiness. Generic bitter and earthy flavor that is okay but disappointing. Tastes like most Rogue beers. Meh.

Bottle. Cloudy orange, off-white head. Nose is citrus, resin, hay-grains, caramel. Flavor is subtle with caramel malts, grassy resin hop bitterness, finishes dry. Medium body and carbonation. A hoppy amber-like ale with prominent malts and hops to bitter out.

Pours rusty orange with a big, creamy off-white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, rye, dirt, toffee, char, and slight peppery grassy quality. Flavor of begins with deep grapefruit and caramel followed by earth, toast, wood, slight char, and pepper. Finishes with more grapefruit and wood, with some gentler biscuit flavors and an earthy bitterness that sticks. Medium bodied, creamy, no heat, and yet still easy to drink. I think the bitterness is heavier than 40 IBUs leads on, but oh well. Good beer.

Pours a lacing beige head with a copper body. Aromas of toffee, a little bread, some piney hops. Flavors are toffee, lightly toasted bread, slightly spicy hops, hint of grassy and citrus hops. Finish is bitter and dry but not overwhelming with a lasting spicy hop note.

Bottled. Pours a deep orange with a sticky white head. Biscuit and grapefruit nose. Pleasingly bitter, with some caramel malts that cut the bitterness that clings to the tongue on the finish.

Dark amber, cloudy, tan head. Pine hop aroma. Taste is balanced malt and pine sap with the finish being pleasant bitterness that’s not over the top.

Tap @ FredFest... Poured a hazy reddish/copper with a bubbly head. Pretty much a Rogue beer. Light hop earthiness, bready malts and that dominating pacman yeast. Nothing too crazy going on here.

2011-05-13. Crisp dark amber body with a modest beige head. 3+ Modest aroma, mildly resiny hops with hint of malt. Flavor is similar, chewy resiny hops and a supportive malt base. Very light caramel touches. 7+ Average plus palate. Not super complex or assertive but quite drinkable, and enjoyable. Bottle shared by Blankboy 15+
