COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Chatoe Rogue Pumpkin Patch Ale.

The newest addition to the Chatoe Rogue series is Pumpkin Patch Ale, a beer made using fresh pumpkins grown in a patch that borders Rogue’s 42 acre hop yard. The pumpkins are picked, loaded into Rogue’s farm truck, driven immediately 77 miles to our brewery in Newport, quickly roasted, and pitched into the brew kettle to create a batch of Pumpkin Patch Ale.

A latecomer to the LCBO Fall Release program (just started showing up in stores this week). The beer pours a slightly hazed ruby red colour with a generous tan head that lasted a minute or so. Aroma is pumpkin, malt, funk and spices. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is grainy malt, pumpkin, and spices. Well put together, but not outstanding.

Aroma: clean caramel , malts with clean pumpkin feel. Gingerbread like. 7+
Look: light brown , slight haze with mid tanned top
Taste/palate: medium bodied, slight side bitterness with some heat behind. Mellow gingerbread with pumpkin spice. Easy going.

Bottle share by Ryan, great pumpkin spice aroma and flavor. Taste borders a bit on potpourri, bit too much spice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

December 15, 2012 bottle from Haskells. Brown pour with some head. Aroma was pumpkin and spice. Taste was pretty much the same, but mild and a bit watery at times.

Bomber - thanks Folty! Very nice aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg. Not overpowering. Solid pumpkin beer.

Ale that pours half head. The color is deep, rich, hazy amber. The aroma is delicious pumpkin meat and spice. the flavor is not as good as the aroma, but similar. It tastes more spicy than pumpkiny and that’s a shame. It’s watery and dirty on the palate. oops.

Med mahogany color. Nutmeg, cinammon, pumpkin malty nose. Off sweet, lots of nutmeg in the mouth. Never cloying or sweet, but pumpkin beers will never be the choosen style for me.

2011 bottle. Deep hazy copper color with a thin head. Great spicy nose with pumpkin pie, cinnamon, nutmeg.  Fewer spices come through on the taste, mainly nutmeg and pumpkin. Smooth palate. A nicely spiced ale without overpowering the drinker.

Bottle from either Belmont or Jungle Jim’s, I can’t remember. Fairly nice pumpkin beer overall. Nice balance of flavors from sweet to spicy with some nice malt too. Rather pumpkin-pie-esque overall. Very pleasant.

Great orange creamsickle colored bottle from Capone’s. Pours chill hazy deep copper with big 3-finger off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, rich pumpkin and pumpkin spice. Tastes somewhat dry, with the pumpkin flavor being solid but subdued somewhat, with the cardamom coming in later, and some caramel malt notes. I got some squashy flavor in this, too. Pretty good.
