Pours a nice dark orange color, little white head. Aroma is great, a combination of spices (cinnamon), pumpkin, caramel. Can really taste pumpkin flavors, a bit of bitterness, very nice tasting beer, really enjoyed it...

Nice surprise here from Rogue. May not need to write them off completely. Dark amber orangish pour with a tight off white head. Spicy aroma with notes of gourd, cinnamon, earthy malts, caramel and small bits of vanilla. Flavors were similar. Lightly spiced, slightly sweet, pumpkins and caramel. Tingly carbonation with lighter mouthfeel. This was light but drank nicely like a rich harvest ale should. Nice.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 blankboy (5140) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2013
Bottle [750ml]. Pours a deep, slightly hazy amber-gold with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Nice aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, more spices, caramel malt and some earthy notes. Flavour is pumpkiney along with those aforementioned spices, caramel malt and a mild bitter finish. Medium bodied. A solid Pumpkin beer.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 superspak (1473) - Michigan, USA - JAN 9, 2013
750 ml bottle into signature shaker pint glass, 2012 bottling. Pours lightly hazy reddish copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Slight spotty soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of caramel, pumpkin, pear, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, toast, brown sugar, clove, brown bread, and herbal hops. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of malt and spices. Taste of caramel, pumpkin, toast, ginger, pear, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, clove, brown bread, and herbal spiciness. Fair amount of spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, pumpkin, pear, toast, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, clove, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of flavors; with a nice malt/spiciness balance; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, slick, and foamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish, as expected of 5.6%. Overall this is a highly excellent pumpkin ale! Great balance and complexity of malt/spice flavors; and extremely smooth to drink. A highly enjoyable pumpkin beer offering.

Dark amber and a pumpkin aroma that isn’t heavily spiced. The taste is the same - nice pumpkin flavor but not much spice, more just a malty ale. Nice overall, still like ST pumking :)
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Ibrew2or3 (5758) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JAN 4, 2013
750mL orange bottle pours clear copper with a tannish head of foam. The aroma is a pleasing earthy pumpkin note followed by a modest degree of cinnamon and nutmeg before the end of the draw brings on more smooth sweet pumpkin. The taste is fairly rich with earthy pumpkin followed by complimentary notes of cinnamon and nutmeg that are at a level where they’re letting you know they’re there but allow the pumpkin to be the main flavor player.
