COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Chatoe Rogue Pumpkin Patch Ale.

The newest addition to the Chatoe Rogue series is Pumpkin Patch Ale, a beer made using fresh pumpkins grown in a patch that borders Rogue’s 42 acre hop yard. The pumpkins are picked, loaded into Rogue’s farm truck, driven immediately 77 miles to our brewery in Newport, quickly roasted, and pitched into the brew kettle to create a batch of Pumpkin Patch Ale.

Some retention and zero lacing. Strong aroma of pumpkin and mild spices. Strong pumpkin notes upfront. Spices kick-in with nutmeg in the finish. Pretty good pumpkin beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured into a shaker. From notes. Pumpkin pie spices with an added flair of a little ginger. Interesting to say the least. A little more watery than I like. Enjoyable but nothing to seek out

Bottle. Finally opening this after storing it in fridge since Halloween. Pours a deep translucent amber with a thick dirty orange head and very faint lacing. Nice allspice and pumpkin aroma. Taste is very much as expected. Pumpkin, spice and cinnamon undertones. Gonna let the other half of the bottle warm up bit before drinking to taste the difference. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2014 Finally enjoying Rogue’s Pumpkin Patch Ale on tap @ Tadg’s. 5.6% A beautiful clear amber with a pumpkin pie spice aroma. Served in a lager glass. Nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, quite tasty & not overdone. The glass may be toning it down. One of the best pumpkin beers this year, neck & neck with the Uinta pumpkin which may have a bit more pumpkin flavor...

Translucent amber with a bit of white head. Aroma and taste are exactly as expected from a stand gravity pumpkin, and perhaps a little richer. Gingery spicy taste into the finish, and recedes in to pumpkiny earthiness. $3 rogue garage sale

Bottle: Poured a caramel color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of caramelized malt with some well-balanced notes of pumpkin, cinnamon and cloves. Taste is also a well-balanced mxi between some pumpkin notes with some cinnamon and some cloves with some caramelized malt. Body is about average with good carbonation. Really enjoyable pumpkin beer.
