COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Chatoe Rogue Pumpkin Patch Ale.

The newest addition to the Chatoe Rogue series is Pumpkin Patch Ale, a beer made using fresh pumpkins grown in a patch that borders Rogue’s 42 acre hop yard. The pumpkins are picked, loaded into Rogue’s farm truck, driven immediately 77 miles to our brewery in Newport, quickly roasted, and pitched into the brew kettle to create a batch of Pumpkin Patch Ale.

750ml bottle. Pours a dark rusty orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma is of sweet pumpkin spices, nutmeg and some malt. Taste same as aroma, but not overly sweet or cloying like other pumpkin ales, a bit of cooked vegetable flavor and mild caramel malt undertones with some mild bitterness, Palate is a medium body, good carbonation, sweet and very palatable brew. Finishes with sweet pumpkin spices, nutmeg, some cooked vegetable notes, mild caramel malt and some bitterness on the end for balance. Could have used a bit more pumpkin spice. Overall this is a good, easy drinking, and unassumingly nicely balanced brew.

Go Rogue! Love the idea behind this beer. Makes for an excellent session pumpkin beer. Dark amber, true pumpkin flavor, not over spiced, a winner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A rather nice tasting pumpkin ale. The spices are well balanced and not over powering. Personally I find the beer a tad too thin and a bit over carbonated.

Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a transparent light copperish orange with thin off-white lacing. Smells solid; pumpkin and related pie spices. Tastes like it smells, but not as balanced. Average on the palate. Not bad.

Nice pumpkin flavor, but pour is weak. Dark brown and has no head. Aroma is weak black cherry.

Bottle shared by neighbors. Aroma is typical pumpkin spice, a little heavy on the allspice and nutmeg. Pours murky brown with a solid foamy head. Taste follows suit with clove, allspice and nutmeg. Mouthfeel is kind of empty given all the spice. Slightly disappointing but kind of on par with most pumpkins. Meh.

On Tap at the "Yard House" in Meridian, ID Clear light orange witha thin white head but even sheets of white lacing. SOft light malty aroma with a hint of pumpkin and spice. Flavor was morelike a siomple brown ale with jsut a touch of the fall gourd. Clean and fresh, but not very interesting.

Go Orange... Best Pumpkin Ale I’ve had all month. Perfect balance. Smooth. Not overpowering or underwhelming. I think I found my new favorite

As far as Pumpkin beers go this was a very good one. Very nice aroma, great pumpkin flavor start to finish. Great after dinner beer or halftime escape.

Tap at Rogue. Weak head. Hazy, deeper orange brown pour. Okay pumpkin pie nose blended with a stickier, cheesy DIPA nose. Taste is softer for Rogue; not aggressively bitter. Some buttery crust. Soapier finish. Nutty, cheesy heavy DIPA body. Not my style.
