3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasting sample at the brewery: Pours amber with a nice head and good CO2 release. Low spice aroma, roasted malt, low hop profile. Taste is salty, bitter and spicy. Dry, bitter and unique on the palate. Very interesting, could not drink a bunch though.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ Ratman’s. Thanks you, Ratman! Pours a hazy brown appearance with a cream colored head. Quite spicy rye, caramel, piney, bready, light fruity aroma. Fairly spicy, bready, a bit husky, somewhat citrusy flavor. A little disappointing.

On tap, pours a hazy muddy brown color with a medium off white head that leaves good lacing, Smells like of rye, and earthy fresh mud smell. Tastes of rye, roasted malt and light hops. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with good carbonation. Overall this was an interesting beer, not one I could drink all the time but it was good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great looking beer poured from a 650ml bottle. Nice spicy character (rye), combined with a nice earthy hopped palate. I like it. Nice carbonation, a real cool factor kind of beer. Definite re-buy.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 22oz. It pours an unclear, almost brown body under a small, off-white head. Rather malty, almost spiced aroma with some bread and generic fruityness. The flavor has a nice rye influence, with fruityness, some piney hops and a maltyness. Quite pleasant, although I think it’s a bit on the malty side. Full body, quite dry on the palate. Lasting spiced and malty finish. Overall, nice. 130216

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of chrisv10. Pours a cloudy amber with an off-white head. Pours thick and syrupy. Rustic, grainy rye aroma. Medium body, a little caramel and then again these rustic, spicy rye accents. Has a vague licorice touch. 160213
