Kosmokrator (493) - ITALY - JAN 31, 2014
Corpo medio-lieve, struttura leggermente oleosa, effervescenza debole. Particolare, ma allo stesso tempo poco interessante.

Pours a pretty clear reddish brown with a small beige head and some lace. Aroma is spicy rye, sorta medicinal, and sour dough bread. Flavour is spicy, bready rye, mild bitterness, mild sweetness, medium-high carbonation, mild citrus, and light apple.

Strong rye taste, gives it a lot of body, despite the rather low IBU of 25.

Want to like this beer so bad. Flashes of brilliance. But it just falls short in every category.

Pours deep mahogany into an English pint. Tan head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sourdough and roasted nut aromas. Medium bodied with spicy pumpernickel upfront turning to sourdough before the earthy bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a thin light tan head. Aroma of smoked meats, smoke, sweet malt, light fruits. Flavor of light smoke, spicy rye malt, and sweet malt, apple skins. Sort of an odd combination of flavors but it’s decent. Palate is light, a bit sweet. 7/4/7/3/14 (3.5/5)
