66.cl bottle shared at the molen monthly tasting. Odd aroma. Slightly hazy amber pour. Interesting beer but not sure i will buy it ever.

Dark murky reddish bronze. Decent sized beige head. Smells toasty, earthy, even a little bit smoky. Pretty full bodied. Flavor is a lot of earthy malts, some coffee and smoky, and a dry, woody finish.

caesar (4953) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUN 12, 2013
Bottled. Clear copper color, short head. Aroma is really weird, some herbal and spicy notes, wheat, vegetable stock, hint of banana, hint of smoke. Bit dry, soft sweet taste. Strange combination and not really to my liking.

Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice malt build and hops balance. Decent amount of smoked aroma and flavors. Very nice beer.

Bomber from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This beer pours dark brown / amber and is almost a gusher. Very cool lacing. In the aroma I get rye, brewers grain, and a little wood. The flavor is also rye. It is not spicy but more of rye grain. A bit of spice is in the hops, however. Just a hint of chocolate. That wood and a little dark fruit and then some earth. This was not a perfect beer but it had a lot of really fun stuff going on. So much complexity for the style made it a lot of fun to drink.

Bomber. Stale yeasty nose out of the bottle, hints of rubbery autolysis, pours a deep murky copper/dark brown in the glass with a creamy beige head. Taste is bitter, burnt, very rubbery, touch of plastic, dry and stripping, light grain, black patent, some smoke. Medium body, smooth and creamy, nice lace. Whatever rye they used is overwhelmed but the burned and smokier notes. Very subtle chest warming, alcohol is under control here. The damage isnít too bad here, and itís not an utter drainpour, but this did nothing to allay my disdain for this brewery. Itíll be another year or two until I buy another bottle, guys, get your act together.

I thought this was pretty nice. A beautiful brown with a nice head, the flavor is a little different but surprisingly smooth.

mjs (4498) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 15, 2014
(Bottle, 0.65 l, courtesy of FatPhil, 20140715) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was quite large, white and it lasted long. Aroma had malts, molasses and caramelly sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, sugary sweetness, molasses, herbalness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. Way too sweet.

11 ounce goblet - $6.50 at Taco Mac (Prado) in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Appearance: Dispensed a muddled, opaque brown body with a fourth of an inch of fine, dusty white suds.

Smell: This isnít exactly what I had anticipated. Burning rubber, molten plastic notes. All in all, itís highly displeasing and begs the question: "they really let this monstrosity leave the brewery?"

Taste: Roasted cigarette butts, a heavily phenolic smoke character giving a flavor of burnt rubber doorstops, lacquered bandaids, and a growing hint of six bucks and fifty cents absolutely wasted.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: Appallingly bad.

Pours deep mahogany into an English pint. Tan head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sourdough and roasted nut aromas. Medium bodied with spicy pumpernickel upfront turning to sourdough before the earthy bitter finish.
