1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 abcfan (582) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 10, 2013Not a fan. Pours murky red/brown with a gray/tan head. Aroma is earthy/skunky. Taste is really off. Wet cardboard comes to mind. Finishes slightly fruity.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 koppertone (27) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 24, 2013
Minimal head, pours a nice color of brown/red. Moderate carbonation. Smells of vanilla and lemon/orange. Tastes roasted, a tad nutty with a fair bit of malt. Slightly bitter. No hops. I wouldn’t say this particularly stands out or that I have any reason to get it again, but if offered it is decent and is certainly likable.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DrinkEmUpJones (1010) - Georgia, USA - MAY 23, 2013
Clear red brown color with thin off white lacing. Mild caramel nose. Creamy palate with fairly dry finish. Darker than expected but delicious.

draught@Erzbierschof - pours a very dark brown beer with a persistent beige foam; the aroma is toasted with light metallic tones; earthy and grainy as well; a good malt backbone, pretty tasty, pretty dry and earthy grassy finish; toasted and with again some metallic tones
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Davros (1484) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 22, 2013
Pours dark brown with a small head.
Nose shows bready, grainy malt and some soft caramel.
Some sweet malt and a grainy character as flavours with little else to make things interesting.
Could use a lighter body.
Pretty boring.

Subtle toasty and fruity aromas. Clear bronze with a lasting, off-white head. Dry, earthy, and a little smokey, with hints of chalky candy. Light, smooth, and cushy, and finishes with some lingering woody flavors.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Drake (6507) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Draft at Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Dumb name. Pours a clear copper color with nearly no head. Aroma of dry malts and rye. The taste is herbal notes, rye, dry crackery malts and a jolly rancher-like fruit note. Medium bodied.

On tap - Publicity in Bellevue Tn. Not what I really expect from Rogue. It's ok. Rye/Malt presence but lack of character. Very dry to me.

22 oz. bottle- Pours a clear dark ruby red with an off white two finger head and nice lace. Aroma is sweet, peat moss, some smoke, malt. The taste is again sweet, peat, more smoke than the aroma, but could always use more, rye bread, mellow and malty with a moderate dryness after the swallow, there is kind of a tangy taste that seems to be an off note. Body is medium and carbonation is medium. This is good, enjoyable, and smooth, I do wish it was smokier.
