COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Chatoe Rogue First Growth Wet Hop Ale.
Created with hops from Rogueís micro hop farm in Independence, Oregon. Raw hops are picked, stuffed into burlap bags, driven immediately 77 miles to Newport, Oregon and pitched into the brew kettle.

Wet Hop Ale is made with Independence and Revolution hops, with a Pinot Envy Ale, a Dirtoir Ale, a Single Malt Ale, and an OREgasmic Ale to follow.

The brew will be on draft or in serigraphed 22 oz. bottles at the Independence Hop & Heritage Festival Sept. 25th and 26th in Independence, Oregon.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark orange with a large foamy white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was earthiness, spicy hops and caramel. The flavor was sourish, astringent and made it quite hard to finish. Almost like a chemical cleaner was added. Probably up there with one of the worst wet hop brews Iíve had.

Sampled on 10/13/2012 at GABF. This India Pale Ale pours a slightly hazy medium yellow gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is herbal, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and citrusy. Nice carbonation. Nice lingering hop bitterness. All those Fresh hop flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On tap at The Hoppy Monk in El Paso, TX. Very bitter but didnít have much substance to the flavors...not complex. I tried next to 2-3 other IPAís and this one didnít have the floral or general pine quality compared to the others. It was good, but not great.

10/29/12. On tap at Kickbackís. Hazy orange pour with a nice khaki head. There is some light caramel in the aroma with a bitter dose of pine and citrus. Nicely bitter, hoppy flavor again with citrus and pine. It dries the palate out for sure. Not bad, actually.

Love the aroma and appearance. The flavor is great and then dissipates into thin air...not a lasting flavor and I wish it was.

Had at the 2012 Denver Rare Beer Tasting in Denver, Colorado. Has subtle hop scents, has quite a bitter hop flavor, not much else.

Pour at the Denver Rare Beer Tasting IV. Appearance is hazy orange with a huge white head. Very muted aroma, with light grass and straw. Taste has light touches of resin, biscuit, weed, and bread. Medium body with light carbonation. Pretty weak beer.

Clear copper, nice white head. Very spicy, piney aroma, very full bodied. Flavor is very hop forward, lots of resin and pine, plus some floral notes. Some earthy, malty flavor n the background. On tap, Bearden Beer Market.

Flavor is earthy/floral, maybe with some citrus. Pretty earthy! Itís not burning, or not very, but itís hoppy as all get out. Damn hoppy. Brilliant effing ale.

Bottled@PBF2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and mild sweet malty notes. Flavour is fruity, wooden, herbal and mild maltyness. Quite big on the bitter finish.
