Didn’t know quite what to expect with this, but gave it a shot anyways. filled the room as soon as it was opened, and split it with a friend. Grassy hops and spiceys everywhere in the nose. First sip, and everyone after that left me with a dry, cotton mouth feel that could only be fixed by having another. Quite strong yeast, almost thought of it as a grassy trippel without a lot of fruit. Pretty good overall. I’d buy it again.

750mL bottle. The body is hazy colorful orange. I can’t remember the head situation. The aroma is orange and spice. The taste is some sort of fruit that I couldn’t identify. I thought this was a really good beer.

I am surpised this is rated so low. Very complex taste of fruit and malt. The taste begins sweet and is followed by a citrus flavor and lightly bitter finish. Although slightly bitter, ther is not much hop character. Not the usual beer.

Aroma of spice and orange with a bit of candi. Golden amber color with tiny bubbles. The beige head is a monster. Near medium body. Creamy fizzy carbonation. It’s sweet, with orange and ginger. Malt and hop tend to get lost in the complex blend. As the sweet oozes away a veg/ginger/bitter taste remains. Seems more bitter than 18 IBU, so perhaps the ginger is fooling me. The orange comes out best in the end, although it is arguably detectable at the beginning. It’s really a bit different, but it’s pretty innovatively good.

Cloudy blond color. The aroma smells of malt but also of orange soda (Fanta?). Some malt body, but the spicy mix (and orange peels) makes of it a horrible brew.

I’ve had good saisons, bad saisons and middle of the road saisons. This fits squarely in the "middle of the road" catergory. The nose is malty sweet, with a bit of light fruits and spices coming off it. Nothing overwhelming or outstanding. Appearance is a hazy orange color with lots of floaties..uh...floating about. The flavor was just not interesting enough to get higher marks. Heavy yeast (perhaps that’s the floaties) really trumps the fruits that are there but can’t escape the yeast’s shadow. Slightly spicy with a tannic finish. Far from being a drainpour, but far from being a repeat purchase too.

Not a bad beer. I never really thought of this as a saison...but not bad. I wouldn’t seek it out again I don’t think.

Huge head from the pour but with minimal carbonation once it settles. Stinky cheese aroma. Some sour cherries, candied fruits. You know the gelatinous ones that are in fruitcake. Cloudy golden orange. Palate is chalky, bitter and dry. Fizzy in the mouth with light fruit and some bitter hops. Some lingering spices but your typical nutmeg and cinnamon holiday spices. A strange but ok brew.
