COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A SAISON FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON! Made with traditional farm house brewing methods from the Flanders region of Belgium. A unique Belgian yeast coupled with avaiable spices, Belgian malts and European hops deliver a delightfully pleasant Belgian-style Saison. FestivAle is made from Weyerman Pilsner Malt, Belgian Malted Wheat, Saaz Hops, Grains of Paradise, Ginger Root, Sweet Gale, and Curacao Orange. No Chemicals, Additives or Preservatives. Measurements: 14.5 degrees plato, 18 IBUs, 12 AA, 8.5 lovibond, 6.2 ABV

Poured from a bomber. Pours a hazy amber color with a fluffy cream color head. Aroma of yeast and spices with some fruit. Slight malt flavor gives way to spicy, citrus flavors. Dry, somewhat sour finish. Taste is crisp and is easy to drink.

Appearance: muddy orange, scant head
Aroma: rich malt aroma with a bit of spicyness, hint of fruit
Body: big body
Flavor: good complex malt flavor, mostly dry, nice fruit character well mixed with an array of spices, touch of farmhouse funk that blends into a bit of bitterness in the finish, upon warming the fruit takes on a nice orange character

Bomber. Pours a clear dark amber color with a sizeable off white head that leaves decent lacing. The aroma is fruits and spices. Flavor is fruity (mainly oranges/citrus) with some sweet malts (toffee) and spices. Lighter bodied with a dry finish.

I really loved some of the really yeasty bottles that I got of this. Way too spiced to be a traditional saison, but nice enough.

Bottle. Pours golden copper. Odd nose: kinda smells like pizza: oregano, tomato and yeast. There’s a hint of bubblegum sweetness in the back. Medium bodied with a fairly creamy/oily texture. Sour and dry on the palate with that bubblegum still lurking but not really coming into play. Finishes fairly long and dry.

(Draft @ Alamo Drafthouse): Pours an amber brown color, no head. Little aroma. Very sweet salty taste, like candy. Sweet acidic taste, very unlike a malty beer. A sour taste, but not fruity. Warming up a bit. More malty & beer like as it warms up. Still a little acidic. Didn’t realize this was a saison until now..

thick frothy head, golden orange color. with high carbonation yeasty aroma. can taste citrus spices , aftertaste is dry.
