22 oz bottle Pours all foamy head over a clear golden yellow body. 10 min time out while it settles down so I can pour some more............ The aroma is musty funky yeast and citrus with a peppery spice note. The flavor is lightly sweet with tangy fruits. Light body dry finish.

22oz. bottle. Strongly sweet and fruity aroma, notes of honeyish and crackery malts combine with elements of orange, pear, melon, herbal flowers, ginger, musty yeast, perfume and light, peppery, grassy Saaz hop spice. Medium golden color with a tint of amber, initial pour is fairly clear but the remainder of the bottle looks to contain a generous dosage of powdery yeast. Head is very fine and slight. Flavor is lightly bitter and herbal to start, becoming quite fruity and flowery with hints of peach and heavy handed spices, finishing with a burst of sugary sweetness, mild hop flavor and faintly acidic citrus. A bit discordant. Thin and lightly oily on the palate, highly effervescent and with a medium body. Oddly tinged aftertaste, must be the lingering herbal components. I had higher hopes for this one.

Bomber. Pours a clear copper with a large off-white head that leaves a wall of lace. Aroma of fruit and spice. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Sweet taste of oranges, fruit, toffee with a spicy dry finish.

22oz bottle from Bev Mo in La Mesa. Poured a hazy deep golden color. A pretty heavy head that stuck around for a while. The flavor was a bit weird, it had some orange and banana...maybe some mango as well?? I might not be used to drinking beers of the Saison style......the beer was a bit strange to me.

I havent rated a beer in eons, that’s centuries to you and me...why did i choose to start up again with this ale of unfestive qualities, unless of course your celebrating ghetto-pride or something..then I guess it would be festive, at least until someone got shot or stabbed or whathave you. Kind of hazy orange I suppose, frothy white head..not a bad looking beer by any means. Smells of wet cedar, cinnamon, and maybe some cardomon but bends towards some stinky malt liqour staleness in the finish. Flavors clash horribly, in ways that remind me why I like wine better than beer these days. Its just freakin nasty...the grains of paradise are overused to annihilation...it seriously tastes like the 1 inch of liquid left at the end of a 40 the morning after..with a cigarette butt floating in it and a used condom draped over the top of the bottle.

Bottle from Casa De Oro Liquor. Pours a hazy dark orange/golden color. Musty aroma of yeast. A little sweet and a little sour. A little citric bitterness. Slightly sweet spicy flavor up front. Some creamy yeast flavors. Slightly hoppy bitter finish that also reaveals of hint of sweetness. Some citrus peel in the finish as well. Enjoyable enough.
