| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Bottle. Hazy golden color, white head. Sweet spicy aroma. Well balanced flavor, nice finish. Excellent beer. Why the low rating? This was good stuff. MoreHead (355), Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2006 pours a cloudy amber with an average fizzy white head and fair lacing. aroma of grassy hops, earthy, leaves with a dry taste. slightly sweet on the finish. decent but certainly not their best. 0o9i (338), Reno, Nevada, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 26, 2006 Bottled. Ginormous head, I mean ridiculously huge. Light brown, honey colored, cloudy and opaque body topped with an offwhite head that leaves behind sticky splotches of lace. Aroma is musky sour like sweat and an earthy, old cellar with some spiciness Honey, fruit, musk.. Mouth is medium with light, foamy carbonation and a semi-dry finish. Flavor is sour, musky like sweat, touch of alcohol. It’s pretty foul. Malts are sugar sweet, there are fruity notes. A certain roastiness is there that reminds me of a porter or stout and it’s the strong grain presence. Caramelly. Doughy. Powerful generic beer flavor. This stuff makes me a little gaggy. stubby (326), Santee, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2006 I’m only taking points off because of a strange astringincy at cellar temp. A wild and accurate farmhouse ale. Spices are subdued, different flavors coming at different temperatures. Ginger at first, pepper later. Full bodied and refreshing at the same time. Interesting brew. brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 22, 2007 The highlight of this beer is its aroma, its flavor of festive spices is not bad but nothing to go ga-ga over, a good beer, good enough to buy during x-mas time. lampeno420 (321), Zeeland, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Didn’t know quite what to expect with this, but gave it a shot anyways. filled the room as soon as it was opened, and split it with a friend. Grassy hops and spiceys everywhere in the nose. First sip, and everyone after that left me with a dry, cotton mouth feel that could only be fixed by having another. Quite strong yeast, almost thought of it as a grassy trippel without a lot of fruit.
Pretty good overall. I’d buy it again. bethmatt0421 (321), Covington, Kentucky, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 26, 2005 Cloudy orange in color, just like OJ in the morning. Spicy, malty, hoppy, citrus flavor. Smooth and malty palate, great going down. and a long acidity finish.A decent holiday brew. Expected better from Rogue, but I geuss they can’t all be great.
