crushinat0r (226), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 5, 2007 Orangy peach and opaque. Very fizzy with a thick dissipating head. Based on the description there seems to be a lot in this beer. The smell however, is so varried that I can’t really identify anything from it except that it smells very fruity and sweet with a hint of orange. Tastes a little bit like a cider with a bitter aftertaste. It’s not great, but it’s certainly drinkable.
ucusty (1062), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 28, 2008 Pours a very murky unfiltered apple-juice like body with a fizzy white head. Aroma of cider with a fair amount of acidity and a concophony of spices. Body is thin and fizzy. Flavors are med. sweet with a ton of apple-like acidity. Phenols are everywhere and are not pleasant at all. Finish is heavily acidic. It hink ferment temps. must have gotten away from them. JCB (1012), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 26, 2008 22oz from Sam’s, Durham. Orange to golden pour, slightly cloudy, with a relative dearth of carbonation that makes me worry about the palate. Slightly spicy aroma, some sweet flavors mingling there with mild hops and yeast. The body is in fact very thin, with mild buttery tastes and some sweetness from the additions. Slightly slick, and a bit too one-dimensional. Rogue’s definitely out of its element here. Mad_Indian (797), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 28, 2008 Sampled with Frank, hazy orange pour with a thick head. Has a sour/bitter aroma and a slightly sour and bready finish. It’s ok for the style, I am not a big Saison fan. badlizard (1439), San Diego, California, USA Apr 9, 2008 bottle from lone hill. Clear golden with a fluffy white head. Strong sharp earthy barn yard aroma. Pleasantly crisp fruity taste. BuckeyeSammy (360), New York City, New York, USA Mar 8, 2008 1.50 per bottle, what a steal! Had to pick up two. Unfiltered darker amber color, large white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of sweet spices, orange, malt, ginger and light hops. Zesty, sharp carbonation, a little overpowering. Ginger, malty, sweet flavor.
You know i started this what a deal, but truthfully 1.50 for a 22 is about right. Not awful, but wouldnt get another one of these.
