Commercial Description:
June 15: Rogue's 15th Anniversary Series release #9: Glen will be tapped at 15:15 hours...dedicated to Glen Hay Falconer: Once a Rogue, always a Rogue (1961-2002). John Maier described Glen as a strong ale, brewed with five ingredients: Simpson's Golden Promise & Weyermann Malts, Glacier hops, Free-range Coastal Water and top fermenting PacMan Yeast. Glen weighs in at 18.9 degrees Plato, 50 IBUs, 78 degrees Apparent Attenuation and 15 degrees Lovibond. Orange/amberin hue, sporting a thick and creamy head with a fine hop bitterness and aroma. We love you Glen!

What a special beer. I attended a release party at Horsebrass for this beer. John and Glen’s brother were in attendance. This is an intense beer. Orange amber head on top of a brown ale of delicious hop monstosity aroma. It has been reduxed but will always be about the Sasquatch. Thanks John and Glen.

I m rating this about 1/4 the way through, and I am looking forward to drinking the rest that is for sure. Pours a remarkable clear orange amber. Very citric nose. Full bodied flavor of sweet malt, rich cherries, sappy orange wth caramel, and a nice zesty hop twang. This is a tasty brew. Note to Rogue: brew this and brewer, bottle it 12 ozers, and ship many to Rochester, NY. Many thanks to Derek Arent for the bottle.

4.5 rating is from the original Glen not the 2007 version that is a far cry from the one I loved. Rogue had to go and fuck with greatness for the sake of change :( Tapped last night at Flying Saucer from the John’s Locker stock release. In a word.....Delicious!!! Another word.......Strong. The 8.2 really sneaks up on you. Reminds me of a summer barleywine if there was such a thing. Palate is super creamy which will get the first 5 I’ve ever given out. Head is a nice one finger that lasted pretty much the entire pint. Balance on this is perfect. For me, just the right amount of bitterness to even out the sweetness. Becomes a little wine like as it warms up. I honestly couldn’t describe all the flavors except that some cherry flavors were noticeable as well as a nice hoppy finish. Simply one of the best I’ve ever had. Just has everything I like in a brew. I’m going back tonight for another.

Gorgeous orange color w/ slightly off white head. Aroma and flavors of clover honey. Strong hoppy accents on the back of the tongue that remain for quite a while.
