TheCheeseMan (514), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Aug 25, 2007 Pours a nice orange amber color, a bit hazy. Aroma is beguiling, very malt forward, with a toasted bread finish. Some hops peek through. Flavor is warm and full Bitter hop finish, with an odd burnt sugar charecteristic that detracts a bit for me.
Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 2, 2008 Draught @ Cole’s. Hazy orange, not a lot of head or lacing. Hoppy nose. Brassy almost bock-like, lots of malt and hops and bread. The most muddled (almost dirty) Rogue I’ve had (a rogue Rogue?) and therefore strange and surprising. Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 30, 2008 The ’08 edition. Golden-beige colour with some haze. Caramel and alcohol on the nose with lots of earthiness. Toasty palate with some caramel and hint of earth and lemon. A little astringent towards the finish, though. cmillward (213), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 28, 2008 Tap @ redlight redlight. Pours a reddish/amber with a thin tan head. Caramel malt with some fruitiness, strong citrus and pine hops on the nose. Sweet with some grapefruit hop flavor then a smooth bitter finish. Remarkably easy drinking, doesn’t betray its strength at all. ditmier (230), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 28, 2008 Draught @ Bittercreek - Poured dk orange with a decent sized off-white head, aroma is all hop, citrus, pine, call it what you will...flavour definitely follows with a nice hop bite, great alcohol presence tempered with a malty finish, good stuff... troopie (516), USA Sep 27, 2008 Draught at horse Brass, Poured deep amber orange with thin white head. Faint aroma of malt. . Full malty taste, with a lekker hoppy bite. Alcohol in the finish, but masked by the flavour
