billk (291), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA Sep 9, 2005 Tap at Eichardt’s Sandpoint, Idaho. Clear amber/copper w good light beige head that fell quick, very little carb. Aroma is sweet & fruity with apples, toffee candy & mild hops. Flavor was the same, I felt it was rather feminine and delicate only just into medium bodied. Maybe tasting it after an IPA knocked it down a peg or two. Will have to try again before the IPA.
BuckNaked (1198), Tempe, Arizona, USA Nov 21, 2008 On tap at Papago: Pours to a clear light amber body with a small, bubbly eggshell colored head. The aroma gives off caramel malt, mild apples, slight hint of pear, and a light fruity grapefruit hops. Taste is initally sweet light caramel, which is quickly taken over by grassy, bitter, grapefruit bright & fresh hops, which lead to a very slight alcohol flavor, but only if held in the mouth for longer than normal. Finishes with some sticky sweet residual sugar, caramel, and a lingering grassy grapefruit hops bitterness on the sides of the tongue. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, hard to believe this is only 50 IBU’s, according to the description - my taste buds put it closer to 80. Enniskillen (1617), Port Angeles, Washington, USA Nov 17, 2008 Nice amber with a thick off white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, light alcohol, light hoppiness. Taste nice hoppiness matching with the maltiness and warming of the alcohol, caramel. fonefan (5505), Ulfborg, Denmark Oct 27, 2008 Cask (gravity) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.
Light unclear orange amber brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. (080808) fiulijn (6010), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Oct 19, 2008 Draught at Brickskeller, Washington DC, as Glen 15th Anniversary Ale 2008
Cloudy brown color, creamy head. It has a very nice caramel and hop aroma. Powerful body, smooth mouthfeel; it has a dominating caramel flavor, with enough residual sugars) and an excellent American hopping; the malt is a bit harsh, flour-ish, almost with traces of wheat. Powerful final too, with a lot of hop resins, just thrown in. Big. Beershine (1514), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 2, 2008 Draught @ Cole’s. Hazy orange, not a lot of head or lacing. Hoppy nose. Brassy almost bock-like, lots of malt and hops and bread. The most muddled (almost dirty) Rogue I’ve had (a rogue Rogue?) and therefore strange and surprising.
