3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Rogue Bar SF. Pours a clear yellow. Nose has citrus, spice, cloves and yeast. Taste is more floral hops and citrus yest. Spices in the backend - more cloves and Belgium funk in the taste. Not too bad. Not my style of fav beers.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy gold with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is wheat and Pils malt, biscuit notes, earthy hops, and spice notes. Flavor is crisp malt, light hops and bitterness, light fruity esters and spices with a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2013 This was a nice session hefe, but I probably wouldnít purchase it regularly. The aroma was probably the best quality, with lots of citrus, spice, and floral accents. Head retention was poor and short-lived, but poured an attractive hazy gold and overall it had the light, spiced body youíd expect from a wheat beer. The body was light and refreshing, tasting like what youíd expect from a wheat beer, with a nice citrus finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at Daily Growler. Hazy golden color with a medium thin white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat and spice. Light-bodied with flavors of wheat, coriander and malt. The finish is wheaty with a citrus and spice aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

I found this at Moís Chowder House in Newport Oregon under the name "Rogue Moís Ale". Itís an American Pale Wheat Ale. Good to great.

I liked this. On tap at the bocktown. Smooth and easy, right from the start. Almost has a slight berry perfumy aroma, just a hint. Same with taste, initially some wisp of a berry thing in there. Very unique and like able. Enjoyable as the session continues. Goes down surprizinlgly easy. Refined, well behaved. Very mild fruit smell keeps arising from the glass. Yes, ok by me. Look is not as cloudy as yer typpy hefe. Impressed.

This is a nice sessionable Hefe. I donít think it is overkill on the spices, it seems to be just right.

Now I really liked this beer, but I also like anything thatís a hef. I would definately buy it again. The hook for this beer is that itís brewed with rose petals. I donít really appreciate that myself though. That is to say, if roses taste like they smell then I didnít taste it. But Iíve never eaten a rose so maybe they taste like something else. Regardless it tasted like apricots and oranges.

Bomber from Samís, Durham. Pretty inviting pour, vigorous carbonation and a deep gold. Nose is soft and dry, bracing rather than the glove-slap of American spice adjuncts. That and the taste are pretty muted and understated, but thatís actually a positive in the case of most beers in this style. Just a touch of spice to meld well with the dry hops. Not bad.
