3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
650ml bottle pours a light golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that settles to reveal some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light orange with some spices (coriander and ginger) and grass with some citrus. Taste is mild orange with some light malty sweetness and grassy with citrus hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Quite a refreshing ale that is worthy of a tasting.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Pour House with Keith, cloudy gold pour with no head and only a spec of lacing. Aromas are filled with lemons, orange, strong wheat, bready grains, some fresh grass. Taste is a very sessionable and lightly flavored wheat beer with some nice hops and malts to balance it out. Very crisp and refreshing wheat weizen.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a slightly hazy orange copper with a small white bubbly head. Aroma is light, some wheat, flowery notes. Flavor is fair, mostly wheat, again some flowery notes, a little citrus.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours golden with an inch of white head that rapidly disappears. Not a lot going on on the nose. A lot of ginger on the tongue and especially in the finish. Odd interpretation of a wit unless you really dig ginger.

Bottle from a Las Vegas liquor store. Clear gold beer. Softish dry palate. Light ginger and coriander on some crisp malt. Not much else going on but very drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
660ml Bottle from Appellation Wines. Clear golden amber colour, good foamy head. Sour wheat / grain aroma. Dry cereal wheat grain flavour, bitter aftertaste. Unusual but not outstanding. Not sure why it is called Hefeweizen as it is nothing like a hefe.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with no head. Has no discernable aroma. Taste is sweet pale malt, some breadiness and an unpleasant sweat socks-like sourness. Not very well balanced. Meh.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
...had it in Cedar Key recently from the bottle. It was called Mom’s Hefeweizen from the 650 ml bottle. Poured a hazy light orange, good head retention. Lively carbonation, nice puffy off-white head that lasted. Nose had orange, and coriander, maybe some of the ginger. Flavors were similar, finished prickly with some decent flavor. More like a wit than a hefe, but it was still enjoyable.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Just had to try this one on Mother’s Day. Wheaty aroma has a strong yeasty overtone - it smells very much like a packet of brewer’s yeast. (No surprise there, eh?) Pours a clear solar yellow with a typical white head. Flavor is wheaty with just a whisper of lemon and a whisper of grass. Smooth texture has average body and just a little fizz. I’ve had better, but this is palatable. Happy Mother’s Day!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
clear dull straw pour with good whitish head. Very wheaty aroma. Coriander on the flavor, with hints of ginger and slightly noble hop bitterness. Medium full body, and not overly carbonated or partiularly refreshing, more velvety. Not bad.
