Tom Servo (424), Arlington, Virginia, USA Jun 2, 2005 Very nice. Better than Widmer’s, but that’s not really a surprise. Kind of fruity, with a banana overtone (my favorite). Nice head, and lovely pale yellow coloring. OlivierMTL (712), Montréal, Quebec, Canada May 17, 2005 Updated: Jul 31, 2005Blonde trouble presque pleinement opaque. Très intéressant! tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada May 17, 2005 Mild banana, coriander, ginger, lemon pith in the aroma. Opaque yellow-tan with generous and lasting cover of fine-bubbled white head. Strong ginger flavour with light citrus character, mild botterness and cake-like yeast. Light body with refreshingly high carbonation. Bottle (Bieropholie, Mar. 2005) enjoyed with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, Olivier MTL, Rastacouere and Yowie. beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 16, 2005 Pours a hazy golden color. Appealing aroma of ginger, coriander and lemon. Very interesting flavor of ginger, coriander and lemon. Light to medium body, creamy texture, moderate carbonation. Definitely a good and interesting weizen. Rastacouere (5551), Montréal, Quebec, Canada May 15, 2005 Golden body shows intense carbonation initially which produces a lasting 1cm white head. Pineapple and banana make for a very estery yeasty nose. Lightly biscuity malt. Strong ginger and citrus skin components. Juicy palate, nicely tart, bitter and floral (straign petals flavors). Well rounded bitterness reminds of dried bananas as it blends with the malt. Medium body, high carbonation, slightly creamy. Pretty good. Incubus1981 (12), Michigan, USA May 11, 2005 This is an ok beer. It pours a golden amber with little head and no lacing. Aroma is citrusy, ginger, fruity/hoppy, and I found it to be, for some reason, slightly off-putting. Flavor is not very wheaty, distinctly spicy, with a hint of floral hops and a bit of lingering bitterness. Smooth-drinking, though, sort of reminds me of Oberon. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA May 10, 2005 (Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy golden body with a large fluffy long-lasting white head. Aroma of wheat, florals, and citrus (lemon). Flavor of wheat, lemon, malt, but fairly blah overall. Bitter finish. VTHopHead (895), Barre, Vermont, USA Apr 30, 2005 Bomber - Pours a quite cloudy (agitated first), darkish amber with a small whitish head. Aroma is not too distinct, but some malt and hops without much hint of the added spices. Flavor is distictly wheaty, but the addition of the extra hops along with the spices is very nice. I like this. Finish is nicely bitter and lasting.
