CharlesDarwin (1824), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA Apr 18, 2009 On tap at the brewery. Seltzery bit of brine and wheat aroma. Pours a lightly hazed golden and a frothy head in clean white. Flavor is acerbic and lemony. Tart. Little clove or banana. A little coarse and biting. Not the refreshing brightness I’d like or the depth of the wheat. Pacman performing poorly.
unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Apr 16, 2009 Golden colored pour. Lemon grass scented. Flavor is kind of dull and thinner than I expected given the style percent score. I actually detected some mint? and pine while tasting this, kind of odd. Easy drinking but not really my cup of tea. IMO there are better American Wheats out there, but each to their own.
SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Apr 13, 2009 drank at coops, bought in LA .. . pretty spritzy .. . fruit and estery attempts .. . i can dig it on a summer day, smooth and really simple .. .hey homsi, you wanna step outside... dmac (1423), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Apr 2, 2009 22ozes of pure let down. Grassy aroma with a soft background of spices. Weak flavor of wheat and juniper berries. I bought this bottle to share with some friends but got stuck drinking the whole thing by myself which was not a good thing by any means. Hophead22 (1056), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA Mar 28, 2009 22oz bottle courtesy of JoetheYounger or NicktheElder, thanks guys. Unusual hefe, didn’t have any of the usual hefe characteristics, aroma and flavor were a little off. djd07 (724), Houston, Texas, USA Mar 22, 2009 Bomber. Pours a pale golden with a small white head that quickly diminshes to nothing. The aroma is a sweet fruit malt with orange peel and lemon zest. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. The taste is grain and hop with a nice spicy finish. Easy to drink, a decent wheat ale from Rogue. sjolles85 (77), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 18, 2009 Not very impressive.. Looks like it would taste a lot better. Taste like watered down beer and lemonaide. Dont like i’ll try it again jeremytoni (1072), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Mar 17, 2009 From a bottle poured a hazy golden color with a fair amount of head.
