| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 7, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dull gold with a medium, fleeting white head. Aroma of coriander, wheat, lemon, and I guess ginger. Palate was not great, as it was both thin and a bit too carbonated. Flavor was average for a style that I am not overly fond of. Wheat and coriander/spice predominate. Seems that its a bit between two styles. Expected a bit more. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 7, 2004 Poured bright yellow and cloudy, like I poured some dirt into a Bud...smells like feet mixed with wheat and old barmat...tasted like rancid bread dough...blech yuck nasty... jazz88 (2240), San Francisco, California, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 8, 2009 Slight haze on a light golden body, mainly lasting head. Only just notice the ginger at the end of the taste and only slightly the coriander moreso. Cant drink too many wheat beers together but this one I could. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 21, 2004 A lovable Grandma smiles out from the label, offering up a mug. She wants you to be happy, she wants you to have a beer!
Appearance: cloudy, but bright, lemony yellow color, huge, frothing head, a good 2" in my Weihenstephaner glass, befroe it starts to slide.
Nose: fresh, soft and sweet, with notes of lemon, orange, spices, and sea-foam.
Texture is a bit more than I expected, but that's the way with Rogue. Rather than the ultra-smoothness of the typical Germanic hefe weizen, there's much more body here, due to the non-wheat malts. More flavors come through, including the ginger noted as an ingredient on the label. Refreshing, but complex and flavorful, much more like a Belgian witbier. The flavors truly mingle well: lemonygingerycoriander, yum, yum!
I've got to give it up to Rogue, another unique creation!

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2007 Medium gold, subdued head fades entirely. Aroma wheat and faint coriander. Flavor is grainy wheat with a nice fresh coriander finish. Not crazy complex, sort of like a wit with American yeast and no citric notes. But pleasant. willblake (2194), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Hahaha Rogue, you thought you could trick me putting this one on the shelves and forcing me to pay twice for the same rebadged beer but NO! Joke’s on you, Rogue, I never bought your silly Half-E-Weizen because I have no idea what that name is supposed to mean. Whatever. this stuff is borderline decent. Sharp astringency on the finish is not welcome nor a good match with the undeniable Rogu-i-ness of this beer. I should’ve saved the five bucks and bought two bottle of Paulaner.
