Nice full looking amber body is hazy with light carbonation. Toasted, light caramel, and grain malt profile. Hops are flowery and citric. Yeast aroma is doughy. A bit bock-ish smelling. Very crisp, lemony taste throughout. Medium body has a watery texture with soft carbonation. Nice spicey kick from saaz hops, ginger, and corriander. Very interesting to have a Rogue that doesn't use cascades. Reminds me slightly of their buckwheat ale. Thanks to Bierbauch for this one! ztrvz (218), st paul, Minnesota, USA

Coriander, banana, light spice and bisquit aroma. Surprisingly spicy and peppery taste, light citrus. Definitely ginger towards the middle. Finish is more ginger, slightly bitter, some wheat/yeast. This beer has a lot of character, I’m surprised it’s rated so low. 0o9i (338), Reno, Nevada, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2004 Pours the color of a well ripened lemon, hazy, ridiculously huge head, foamy and white, not really sticky enough to lace(except in thick, roundish splotches), although it creates a deep "bowl" of foam on top of the beer. Aroma is yeasty wheat and citrus, lemon along with some hard to place spiciness. Flavor is terrifically well balanced with a lightly sour and then bitter, complex finish of fairly dry character and tasting strongly of lemon and wheat, some coriander creeps in as the beer warms up maybe 5minutes. Light-medium body, lively-foamy carbonation well lasting and kind of watery finish. Best wheat I’ve had by good measure; richly flavored, refreshing...poured from a funny bottle in my own home. Had it traditional style in a wheat glass and a wedge of lemon. Nice and cloudy, as a good wheat should be.Overall impression positive, but unremarkable. Sparkling head. Expected bitter aftertsate. Would try again without the lemon to verify tasting.
