Pours a gorgeous ruby red with a dense lasting yellowish head. Aroma is toasty and sweet. Flavor is nutty all the way. A toasty, rich nutty flavor that I tasted all the way through with a smooth finish. I don’t even like nuts and this beer is solid!

Pours dark brown with no head (at least in this case). Great nutty aroma with a smooth taste to match. The hazelnut is apparent, and there are also flavors of caramel and chocolate. Not a very hoppy brew, but still a wonderful brown ale. I recommend it, especially to anyone who likes hazelnut.

650ml Bottle: Pours rich, mahogany brown with an amazing, full beige head. Aroma of toasted hazelnuts, toffee, caramel, and mocha; just a bit muted, but it’s all there. Great immediate hit of light molasses and hazelnuts, burnt toffee, chocolate, sour fruits, and just enough bitter hops to balance. The only negative I can pull is that it’s just a bit too watery, but otherwise I absolutely love this one! Another great job by Rogue!

Thin nutty aroma, the hazelnut is more in the finish and not in the mid palate. Super smooth brown ale, very light body.

650 mL bottle. Translucent, chestnut brown with a small, beige head. Sweet aroma of nuts, toast and toffee. Taste is dominated a little too much by an almost cloying hazelnut flavour. Not much by way of hops. A little thinner than expected. Brings something different to a style with little variety, but just doesn’t really work for me.

Dark re-brown pour with a tan head. Hazelnut aroma. A surprisingly good nutty flavor. I really like this one, especially for the price. Has a nice dark roasted flavor without the coffee notes. Light to medium body. Very good.

Pours a red brown with a very thin film of a head and a slight yeast cloud to the beer. Aroma is composed of a light chocolate malt scent with the rest of it being very nutty of Hazel nut. Flavor is dominated by the nutty hazel nut flavor but there also resides a light, semi-watery flavor of chocolate malt and some Munich maltiness in the back. The beer has a moderate carbonation and has very smooth flavors.Overall the beer is dominated by the nutty flavor but it remains very palatable and a very good semi-sweet, cookiesh beer.

Appearance: Pours a dark amber with a tight knit, creamy 1/2 inch of head. Aroma: Hazelnut syrup for coffee, toasted oats, and wheat bread. Taste: Bread crust, bitter hops, roasted nuts, caramel malts. The beer finishes with a subtle sour/sweet fruitiness I associate with doppelbocks. Mouthfeel: Full bodied. Overall: A very full flavored, well crafted beer. Although the aroma is sweet, the beer is well balanced, borderlining dry.
