Dark brown in color with a hazelnut aroma, a rich nutty flavor and a smooth malty finish. Hazelnut Brown Nectar Ale is a blend of Great Western 2-row Pale, Munich, Hugh Baird Brown, Crystal 80 and Crystal 135, Carastan, and Beeston Pale Chocolate malts; hazelnut extract; Perle and Saaz hops.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2006 Probably the best brown ale iíve ever had. This beer erupts with flavors of, you guessed it, hazelnuts and nectar. Slighty fruity aftertaste which is hard for me to like, but rogue pulled it off in this case.

Sesame aroma. Nice amber brown, with a tan head. SUPER toffee and hazlenuts. This is awesome! My new favorite brown ale, bar none. Amazing stuff. This will get an elaborate rerate sooner or later. Aftertaste and palate are smooth, buttery and overly nutty. Good stuff! Hops do a nice balancing act.

Better than average, but not spectacular. The aroma of nuts is very appearant, feels a little watery, malt is reconizable. overall. I like this, but I had better

hmmm, complex. Iím not really sure how to describe the flavors here. It fit the style and name as an excellent brown with a very subtle hazelnut flavor. Probably more toffee and chocalate. Very smooth and complex. Must try again.

Iíve never had a bad Rogue product, but this one may be the best. If I count correctly it has 7 different malts; itís easy to notice something new with each one. When my wife sees the empty bomber bottles in the basement it makes her send me out for more.

Bottle. Medium brown aroma, light tan head, though not much remnant lacing. Aroma is nutty, good malt aroma, good balance to it. Flavor has a nice amount of maltiness, chocolatey and caramel notes hanging in the background, not too much hopiness. The hazelnut flavor is the main feature, it really ties everything together well. Medium body, carbonation might be a little high, but the nut flavor hung around and coated my mouth. A nice beer, and an excellent example of the style, an enjoyable beer.

Pours well, brown in colour! Small beige head. Aroma of rich toffee/caramel, nuts, chocolate and raisins. Flavour is sweet chocolate and caramel, balanced out with a mildly bitter finish. Some fruity notes evident. Not bad, but nothing special.

Pours a clear reddish brown color with a thin offwhite head. Mild aroma of malt and hazelnut. Mild flavor of malt and nuts, the finish leaves a chalky and dry feeling. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. This is a major let down, I used to love this beer but now either my tastes have changed or the quality of the beer has gone downhill.

Pours beautifullywith a deep reddish brown body and a beige head that tends to discipate rather quickly. The scent is subtler than is to be expected considering the powerful flavour. Strong hazelnut/chocolate/caramel flavour that goes down beautifully smooth and leaves a tart feeling on the sides of the tongue. My one critique is that this beer was a bit too carbonated for my liking, that was not enough, however, to ruin the truly awesome taste of this beer. THis beer tastes like it should be served as desert!

Pours a dark mahogany color, small off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, and some nuttyness. Flavor is nutty, almonds, caramel, very sweet, but not over the edge. Very nice!
