Pours dark brown with very thin head, Nutty aroma with coffee hints. Of course lots of hazelnut in flavor which finish’s with a roasty coffee like taste. Only thing that annoyed me was that it felt thin. Aftertase is awesome though. Pretty good but just too thin for me, needs alittle more body.

Morimoto bomber. Dark brown with some tannish creamy head, somewhat translucent. Nose is all nuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, maybe some almond. Taste is, you guessed it, hazelnutty delicious. Nice chocolate, toffee, and vanilla notes. Very creamy texture, albeit thin.

22oz morimoto bottle. Pours a dark rich brown color with a light off white head. Nose is tons of chocolate and hazlenuts, almost has like a peanutbrittle or peanutbutter feel to it. Taste is more of the same, lots of chocolate, toffee, and tons of nuts. very creamy mouthfeel that makes your mouth very happy.

Poors a rich dark brown. Aroma is sweet coffee and nuts. Coffee is strong in the flavor as well, but not too much so. Tastes delicious and creamy. Smooth overall and just a touch bitter at the end. This one’s definitely a keeper.

Bottle. Pours dark dark brown (definitely not black) with an ok tan head, which dissipates quickly. Aroma is... well coffee with cream and sugar, but with out the coffee. So...I guess that leaves cream and sugar. But this is different than that; there is a certain luxuriousness that great coffee brings to any coffee based concoction. The aroma has that, but no overt coffee aroma. Flavor is mysteriously devoid of chocolate, but the coffee comes back, again not in the bitter form I’m used to it from most stouts and porters. Hazelnut is right, along with some cream, nutmeg, natural sugar...somehow not-too-sweet caramel and toffee malts. The feel is only rivaled by the best made oatmeal porters and stouts. I’m surprised that there is no oatmeal in this, considering how smooth it is, walking that line between thick and medium bodied. Finishes like a warm hug from Juan Valdez.

22 oz. bottle. Poured a dark cola brown with a sizeable creamy tan head. Aroma was strong roasted malt with some hazelnut hints. Initial flavor was mosted toasted malt with some nutty chocolate, coffee and caramel bursting forth and finishing with a bitter hops taste. It was creamy and smooth on the palate, and just a tad lighter than I normally like, but as full bodied a brown ale as I’ve had. Definitely tough to go back to Newcastle after this one.

An excellent beer with a light tan head. Hazelnut and roasted malt in the aroma. Not to thick, but not watery. Nicely carbonated. Sweetish finish, made for a very delicious and drinkable beer.

Hazy mahogany, fleeting light tan head. Definitely has the hazelnut in the aroma, along with some roasted malt and maybe some floral hops. Nice feel, just right for the style, not sticky or overly thick, and just the lightest carbonation. Sweet malty flavor with roasted nuts, a little brown sugar, and jsut enough hop character to prevent it from becoming cloying. Nicely balanced and very drinkable.

I have enjoyed this beer as both the HazelNut Brown Nectar and as Rogue Morimoto HazelNut Ale. Pours a nice dark brown color. Aromas of nuts/chocolate/caramel. Flavor is nutty with a nice sweet honey chocolate taste and a little coffee bitterness. This is a great beer, no matter what the name is.
