movezig (137), Pensacola, Florida, USA Oct 16, 2008 Nutty and I love it. Its got this great baked cookie dark chocolate charater. I love how they were able to incorporate all this roasted chartacter but keep it medium bodied like a borwn ale should be. Damn good brown. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Oct 15, 2008 Colour is a very impressive copperish, red that fades to yellow along the edges. Head is small and is a light tan colour. Aroma is very, very nutty with a touch of chocolate. Palate is chocolate, coffee, nuttyness that is less prevelent than on the nose. Slightly watery. Solid beer, not the best I’ve had. Quevillon (1518), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Oct 15, 2008 Updated: Dec 28, 2008Bouteille de 650ml, acheté au City Market à Burlington (VT) le 25/09/08. Brune ruby, petit collet. Clear ruby brown, thin ring of light brown head. Sweet nutty aroma, creamy, sweet brown ale. Body is very smooth and the nuttiness is almost too sweet. borgination (101), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Oct 12, 2008 I think that this one is way overrated. It has way to much of a coffee taste to it. It pours a nice dark brown with a tan head. Very sweet and smooth taste to it, i just think that the hazelnut is way to powerful. brianprentiss (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 11, 2008 Lots of toasty malt, lots of hazelnut. Very interesting, very sweet beer. Really enjoyed this one; it is very memorable. yumyum (118), barrie, Ontario, Canada Oct 8, 2008 I have only tried a few "nut brown ales" and this one is the nuttiest. It is a good beer with a strong nuty flavour than gets more prominent as you drink it. As I drank it I noticed slight chocolate flavour develop also It has a nice smooth mouthfeel. OVerall it is not something to jump up and down over but I think it is a beer that is true to its style and is quite tastey. kiefdog (1567), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 7, 2008 65cl bottle from Village Wine and Spirits (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark mahogany with a two finger tan head. Good retention and lacing of the glass. Aroma is sweet malt, nuts, spice, and maybe a faint hint of chocolate. Flavor is much of the same: sweet malt (with hints of roasted barley), chocolate, sweet caramel, nuts and spice, Generally medium body with a slightly bitter finish.
