| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 23, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 22oz bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: Its body has a deep dark reddish brown color with lighter reddish highlights. The head is big and foamy and has a nice light tan color. It also has very good retention and makes cool splotchy lace that is slick and slowly sides down the sides of the glass.
Smell: The aroma is malty sweet, buttery and has an assertive nutty character.
Taste/Mouth feel: It has a wonderful roasted and buttery smooth nutty character. It is mildly sweet and creamy with little to no hop influence. The finish is mildly sweet and creamy as well and it has a solid medium body. On the tongue it has a slick and silky smooth texture with soft carbonation.
Notes: This is a heavenly Brown Ale.

Wonderful hoppy aroma with malty, oaky, fruity and toffee hints. Sharp, complex hoppy taste. It carries fruity, nutty, roasty and subtle chocolate notes. Alcohol is well dissimulated. Ends with a long bittersweet finish. Awesome Brown Ale! mannika (100), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I love how they were able to incorporate all this roasted chartacter but keep it medium bodied like a borwn ale should be. Damn good brown. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 15, 2008 Colour is a very impressive copperish, red that fades to yellow along the edges. Head is small and is a light tan colour. Aroma is very, very nutty with a touch of chocolate. Palate is chocolate, coffee, nuttyness that is less prevelent than on the nose. Slightly watery. Solid beer, not the best I’ve had. Quevillon (1520), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada

Brune ruby, petit collet.
