buddahmind (39), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 20, 2007 "It’s a bit nutty" This beer is wildly popular around Boise with a float of Chocolate stout. I must say that I prefer that particular version to the straight nectar. No offense to the all mighty Rogue, but at least I’m topping it with one of THEIR other beers. Icommonsewer (122), TUCSON, Arizona, USA Sep 18, 2007 this is a very nice, mellow brew that goes down very easy and is refreshing to the palate Kodos (200), USA Sep 18, 2007 Pours dark brown with a nice creamy head. Roasted hazelnut and dark chocolate in the nose. this is going to be great!
Well....
Tastes like dark roasted nuts and sweet malt. Leaves an aftertaste that hints of wood. Rogue has done better. patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 17, 2007 bottle - Pours dark brown with a very thin head and a caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet, nutty, caramel malt with a good balance of hops. It’s medium bodied though even as it warmed it still seemed a touch watery. badnloose (99), North Hollywood, California, USA Sep 16, 2007 22oz Morimoto. Simply look at the name. Hazelnut, brown, and nectar. Solid and creamy, with a great malt flavor. Delicious. Bradrcr (778), Renton, Washington, USA Sep 16, 2007 On draught at the Issaquah brewhouse Aroma is sweet malt with nuts, roast and caramel. Appearance is a clear light brown with a moderately retained tan head. Flavor is very light, nutty sweet malt forward with medium bittering and some citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bittering with a solid medium carb bite and slight creaminess. Overall, not bad, with decent complexity, but could be sweeter. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Sep 15, 2007 A Sim rate (on tap at the Flyng Saucer Memphis): Nutty, slightly sweet aroma that’s a bit too alcoholic. Nice dark amber colour but no head or lacing. SO divinely hazelnut in the flavour. Sweet chocolate and caramel with an amazing finish. douglas88 (1556), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Sep 8, 2007 Bottle. Pours a very dark amber with a nice head. The taste is hazelnut, a smooth sweet malt, and a strong coffee aftertaste. Good for breakfast.
